Job Description: Technical Business Analyst - Financial Services

- We are seeking a Junior Technical Business Analyst who can translate business needs into technical requirements, along with the understanding of REST and SOAP APIs, integration specifications, and testing methodologies.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with stakeholders and relevant teams to gather and document business requirements for financial services applications.

- Analyse API's, associated business processes, workflows, and system requirements to document and drive effective solutions.

- Create comprehensive functional/technical specification documents for development and integration projects.

- Document API specifications including (but not limited to) the metadata, constraints and the data mapping/transformation rules.

- Effectively communicate your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.

- Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports

- Work closely with development and QA teams to ensure accurate implementation and successful testing.

- Plan and execute testing activities, including defining test cases and conducting user acceptance testing.

- Ensure that proposed solutions align with business objectives and industry regulations.

- Assist in user training and support, addressing inquiries and concerns.

- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.

- Experience working on Rest API's is a must. Should be able to analyse third party API documentation and collate technical requirements for the new API's to be developed.

- Have documented open API specifications using tools like Swagger.

- Proficient in information gathering, documentation, and creation of functional specification documents.

- Basic understanding of business processes and IT systems.

- Experience in financial services applications, especially in Banking would be an added advantage.

- Familiarity with testing methodologies, including test case development and user acceptance testing.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration.

- Ability to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions.

- Detail-oriented mindset with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Relevant certifications in business analysis or related fields (optional).
