Role: Digital Business Analysts / Digital Business Consultant.
Educational Background and Work Experience:
1. Master's/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Metallurgy, Mechanical, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or similar degree
2. At least 3+ years of experience in manufacturing industry
3. Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on Digital Platforms/ Data Science
4. Strong experience in business/operations process mapping and improvements.
5. Strong oral & written communication skills with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms and business needs in technical specifications.
6. Strong engineering knowledge of the related discipline is basic pre-requisite
7. Good Communication Skills, able to generate feasible ideas for improvement
8. Strong knowledge of statistical modelling, AI/ML, Image processing, Video analytics etc
9. Good skills at converting business problems to Scope of work.
10. Good understanding of Data Science, cloud technologies.
Purpose:
1. The position plays a crucial role in translating key business requirements and enabling the business with best in class Digital Solutions.
2. They are responsible for analysing business processes, gathering requirements, and identifying opportunities for improvement or optimization using digital technologies such as data science, IoT etc
3. Evaluate and identify the right solution, platforms, technologies etc in solving the business problems
4. Identify the size of the opportunity through necessary process data analysis and establish a strong business case for Digital Intervention.
5. Responsible for Standard architecture and ensure digital programs align with standard architecture making it suitable for faster scale up and horizontal roll-out.
6. Build & nurture a suitable partner ecosystem.
Key Result Areas (Key Performance Indicators).
1. Establish a business case for Digital Projects/ Use-cases and translating projects from Ideation to Execution to benefit realization
2. Ensure delivery of projects in line with the business case and realization of value through good project design, timely execution, user adoption, change management & benefit realization.
3. Infuse the right mix of innovation and technology in identifying the right use cases with the aim of improving productivity, sales, safety, cost, and process improvements
4. Prepare the project scope and plan by interacting with various stakeholders and monitor project to meet the required timelines and budget
5. Maintain the eco-system of partners (large consulting companies, technology consultants, start-ups and universities) to leverage their capabilities for the benefits of JSW Group agenda
6. Constantly upskill and learn latest technologies and trends for the benefit of the business
7. Take part in Digital Showcases, blogs, videos, training/reskilling, Demos, workouts etc.
Critical Tasks KRA's and Key Activities
1. Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders, including business managers, and end-users, to elicit and document business requirements related to digital projects and initiatives. This involves conducting interviews, workshops.
2. Data Analysis: Analyse and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process optimization. Utilize data-driven insights to support decision-making and create actionable recommendations. Give inputs & insights in preparing the business case / ROI calculation for any solution.
3. Solution Design: Work with cross-functional teams, to design and propose digital solutions that align with business requirements. Translate business needs into clear and comprehensive functional specifications.
4. Digital Transformation: Support and drive digital transformation initiatives by identifying opportunities for process automation, digital innovation, and technology adoption to enhance business efficiency and competitiveness.
5. Business Process Mapping: Develop detailed process maps and workflow diagrams to illustrate current and future-state processes, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
6. Project Management: Responsible for project planning, including defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely and successful project execution.
7. User Experience (UX) Analysis: Analyse and evaluate user experiences, interactions, and feedback to enhance digital products and services. Advocate for user-centric design and usability best practices.
8. Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate project progress, requirements, and recommendations to various stakeholders, including non-technical business users and technical development teams.
9. Quality Assurance: Support testing efforts by defining test cases and validating that developed solutions meet business requirements and are free from defects.
10. Market and Industry Research: Stay up to date with digital trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices to provide insights and recommendations for enhancing the organization's digital capabilities.
