This role will be responsible for managing the digital marketing team servicing 15+ brands and requires a natural leader and someone who has prior experience in leading digital marketing teams in a rapidly evolving environment.

Role Summary :

- As Head of Digital Marketing, you will work with the GUS senior management to define and deliver on the digital marketing strategic direction with responsibility for building and managing a team of experienced digital professionals.

- The Head of Digital marketing will be responsible for developing and implementing the digital marketing strategy & managing the digital marketing budget and delivering on the client targets.

- The successful candidate will be fully accountable for multiple digital marketing channels to include: PPC, Affiliates, Media Buying, Analytics, Programmatic, SEO, and Paid social media and content.

- The ideal candidate will be a driven individual with an entrepreneurial spirit with a wealth of digital experience gained in an education environment (preferable).

- The Head of Digital Marketing will have an in-depth understanding of all digital marketing disciplines and be able to demonstrate the success of growth in a similar B2C business in senior roles.

- The Head of Digital Marketing will report to the Senior Client Services Director

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Oversee and support team of 40+ employees based in Hyderabad - with direct management of 5-8 managers/HoD

- Strategies future growth of channel with a focus on spending Vs. ROI KPI- s

- Developing Digital marketing plans for GUS brands and managing the overall digital marketing budget for the assigned brands

- Management reporting to the Executive and respective stakeholders on individual brands performance

- Developing and delivering a roadmap of all online activities- development including but not restricted to Search, Affiliates, Media Buying, Programmatic, Social Media & SEO

- Use a range of analytical tools to identify areas of success/that need improvement

- Ensuring maintenance and growth plans for channels

- Establishing relationships with the brand owners to ensure there is a collaboration with digital activities development, sharing technologies, and developing

- Leveraging other group services where relevant and required and developing relationships with other shared services

- Work closely with the marketing & sales team to ensure cohesive approach and maximization of ROI

- Meeting targets relating to leads and expenditure for all brands under your remit.

- Managing staff within the digital team to include recruitment & selection, deployment, performance, training, and development.

- Manage team to ensure all reporting on campaign/CRM and activity performance is delivered accurately on time, and in a format that informs business decisions

- Liaison and partner with finance team on finance queries, reconciliation, and ensuring all suppliers get paid on time

Qualifications/Education :

- Post-Graduation

- A general Marketing qualification.

- Google AdWords Qualified

Knowledge/Skills :

- Crucial knowledge of the Digital Marketing Industry

- Possess exceptional budget management skills

- Expert in MS Office, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

- Fluent and influential verbal and written communication skills

- The ability to work as an independent decision-maker, along with the ability to work collaboratively and lead a team

- Solutions focused

- Commercially and financially astute

- Proven problem-solving capability

- Ability to influence at a senior level within an organization

- Proven track record of managing a budget and meeting targets

Experience :

- At least 17+ years experience in Digital Marketing

- Substantial experience in managing Digital campaigns as part of a web/marketing team

- Experienced in managing a team of 30+ with a focus on team wellbeing and professional development

- Background in managing large scale Digital campaigns with a budget of at least GBP 3 million annually.

- Experience of working in a fast-moving business and being a go-getter.

- Experience of working in an agency for 6-8 years.

- Experience in managing change and implementing new initiatives

- 5-year experience of working in a management or client delivery role

- Working in an agency/network/client-side

- Working in the public or private education sector

- Managing a team directly or remotely

- UK Experience/Global Experience

- Knowledge and interest in technology, marketing, and communications.

- Extensive online marketing experience

- Excellent sales and negotiation track record
