Within this the Financial Accounting team comprises approximately 900 staff globally and it is the department with overall responsibility for the books and records of the firm. Job Description - The job primarily involves working to ensure that proper controls are maintained in relation to Sarbanes Oxley requirements by:

- Supporting the reporting of results to the Head Office as well as external reporting to the public including regulatory bodies, shareholders, and bondholders.

- Ensuring that key controls are properly documented and tested within entity's SOX tool.

- Completing various stages of SOX control process including designing of control effectiveness test, testing operational effectiveness of controls being applied and followed.

- Completing the beginning and end of the year process control SOX assessment.

- Reviewing SOX templates for completeness and feasibility

- Reviewing processes to reduce duplicate controls and bring in efficiencies without compromising controls

- Interacting directly with the Head of Entity Accounting and other senior personnels (in India and across the Globe)

The Successful Candidate - You will be a qualified Chartered Accountant (06/07) with relevant exposure to Sarbanes Oxley and having 5+ years of experience in the Investment Banking industry in the Financial/Management Accounting space. You will be a proficient user of Microsoft Excel and Word. You will possess the ability to multi-task along with effective communication, problem solving and time management skills. You will display the ability to work independently and meet strict reporting deadlines. Knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials, US GAAP and IFRS GAAP is a must.
