- Review of tax distributions and tax returns for unit trust clients
- Review Audit packs, TBs and financial statements for unit trusts clients
- Review BASs calculations, MERs, ABS reporting as and when available
- Review of AASB7 reporting
- Ensure that all deliverables are captured, completed and delivered according to agreed timetables and client SLAs
- Provide assistance to the Manager - Financial reporting in relation to accounting/tax related issues
- Assist and facilitate communication with clients over their accounting/tax reporting requirements and accounting/tax related queries
- Act as a subject matter expert for accounting related queries.
- Build and maintain external client relationships
- Build and maintain effective partnerships with local and offshore teams.
- Represent Financial reporting team on specific projects relating to clients, process improvements, and product development
- Use HiPortfolio and related systems as investigative tools to research and resolve issues.
- In depth knowledge on all of the team's processes
- At least 5 years experience in financial accounting within financial and/or professional services
- Experience in either statutory reporting and applications of accounting standards in accordance with AASB & IFRS or tax reporting specifically in income tax returns and trust distribution calculations. Experience in both would be highly regarded
- Effective planning and time management skills, with demonstrated initiative and proactive approach to managing dynamic workload and periodic overtime
- Experience in a CA or CPA firm would be highly regarded
- Strong excel skills
