The CIB Treasury Liquidity team, is aligned within CIB Treasury CIB Treasury's primary responsibility is managing the financial resources of the Corporate & Investment Bank ("CIB"), establishing transparent and market-based financial resource pricing policies, developing liquidity risk methodologies, and creating metrics to support the management of capital, liquidity, balance sheet, and GSIB.
Stakeholders of the Liquidity team include CIB Finance senior management, business heads, product controllers & planning and analysis. The team works closely with senior finance leadership to report the funding and liquidity impacts of the CIB's activity both on a global basis and also on individual legal entities across the EMEA and Asia regions, helping monitor the liquidity and funding requirements of the CIB, and supporting regional legal entity governance requirements. CIB Treasury also works closely with Corporate Treasury and Asset and Liquidity Management Risk Oversight (ALM) in developing consolidated liquidity metrics, analysis and controls
Job Responsibilities:
To work with the CIB LOBs, Corporate Treasury and Regional Liquidity teams to ensure appropriate measures, monitoring and controls are in place to deliver robust management of CIB liquidity through the following tasks:
- Ensure Production and ongoing maintenance of daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting and analysis of balance sheet, liquidity and funding impacts for the CIB, as needed
- Ensure Preliminary analysis of period on period variances and identifying business drivers for onward analysis to ensure accurate and timely liquidity reporting
- Ensure working closely with Wind Down and Resolution teams to ensure accurate reporting
- Support ongoing review and regression testing results as the result of any liquidity and balance sheet infrastructure enhancements.
- Working with Digital Accelerator leads on continued review and enhancement of user-based excel tools to digital solutions. Partner closely with controller functions to ensure reporting of currency views are reflective of existing environment and balance sheet positions
- Development of the team through training and communication to ensure understanding of these liquidity stress methodologies. Additional reporting responsibilities to support regulatory reporting needs affecting the CIB as processes are enhanced and automated.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Chartered Accountant or Degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field. 10 to 12 yrs of relevant experience; experience in Liquidity Reporting or Controlling roles is a must.
- Familiarity with CIB Balance Sheet products, liquidity concepts and regulatory developments in the treasury space is a plus.
- Experience managing a team and prioritizing deliverables. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, familiarity with Tableau, Alteryx a plus
- Working knowledge of Investment Bank products and balance sheet, along with strong financial theory and accounting principles
- Strong analytical, investigative problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Self-starter, who is able to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and capable to have high degree of self-management
- Strong stakeholder management and excellent communication skills
