CIB DPS F&BM - DPS APAC Tech Finance - Vice President
Financial Analysis is responsible for partnering across the firm to provide financial and strategic analysis, oversight, and coordination of budgeting and forecasting. Our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) teams are responsible for a wide range of activities including financial control, forecasting and budgeting, analysis of financial/business metrics, delivery of weekly/monthly/quarterly management reporting, development of new reporting capabilities (e.g. dashboards), and advising the line of business CFOs on how to increase profitability and efficiencies.
You will analyse, prepare, and reconcile accounting and technical data as well as prepare reports, while always thinking of and devising ways to streamline and minimize cycle times through automated applications and process improvement. You will also help develop recommendations effecting business procedures and operations and maintain financial and reporting systems. In addition, you will assist the department and other team members with special projects or components of other projects as needed.
In a Financial Analysis role, you would be independently responsible for:
- Driving annual/continual financial planning activities for APAC Technology, providing business rational and decisions for all month-end financial performance and forecasting, conducting reviews and analysis on product financial performance, budgeting, billing, trends, and exception reports
- Oversight and ownership of all China financial EMR reporting including consolidation, change tracking, driving variance analysis and remediation actions
- Develop financial / non-financial reports for China Franchise in order to enhance transparency and accuracy of reporting to key stakeholders and including Multi-Year program Spend and LE specific regulatory Reporting
- Drive China Tech Budgeting Cycle with Ownership/maintenance of BK's under purview of the China Finance team, Identify program/project/portfolio/biz case structure and Partner with GT F&BM to iterate submissions through various rounds
- China multi-year financial tracking and Reporting to APAC P&A
- Franchise Financial submissions to China Legal Entity Controllers, GT P&A and China OC
- China LE View Control and Financial Reporting
- Financial change controls governance via JIRA and backed by approvals from business and technology sponsor
- Reporting on and monitoring key metrics, driving data quality initiatives across the product area, and helping define future needs of the business area
- Helping design new reports and dashboards to efficiently deliver the financial results to senior management
- Enhancing controls and streamlining processes, introducing automation where possible
- Managing the CIB APAC Tech finance team in India to deliver on regional business priorities with specific focus on China and GT finance strategy
Qualifications:
- CA / MBA with 8-10 years of work experience, preferably in Financial Services, and/or accounting/controller background
- Strong leadership skills to independently drive initiatives and agreed outcomes
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions concisely
- Proven track record for executing on special projects / assignments with often little lead time or information
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly
- Inquisitive, enthusiastic and diligent, and capable of challenging peers
- Highly motivated self-starter with excellent time management/prioritization skills
- Highly motivated and able to thrive and think clearly under pressure and tight deadlines
- Proficiency with data mining/gathering and manipulation of data sets, preferably with knowledge in Alteryx
- Ability to create ad hoc reporting for senior management
- Team player with the ability to be respected as a trusted partner for the Business, Finance, and FP&A Teams
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
