The Role:
As a Business Manager, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and supporting a business that has ambitious long term plans for growth in a highly competitive, complex environment. Additionally, you will ensure the successful design and execution of high priority initiatives.
The role requires the following (but not limited to):
Thought Leadership:
- "Own" day-to-day project management and delivery of engagements through impactful recommendations, provide coaching to teams as they implement recommendations
- Scope problems, identify major issues and actionable opportunities, design solutions, and quantify potential bottom-line financial impact
- Work with team to develop work plans, evaluate strategies and insights which could span process improvement, organizational change, and functional strategy efforts
Stakeholder Management
- Advise and influence senior leaders and business executives on key business decisions and major change initiatives
- Develop deep trust-based advisor relationships with key stakeholders
Team Leadership
- Lead one or more projects, initiatives simultaneously and deliver as per timelines by collaborating with internal and onshore partners
- Collaborate with your team to build hypothesis sets, analyses, and roadmaps for solutions
- Identify potential roadblocks / obstacles and escalate issues as needed
Other Responsibilities include:
- Produce strategic and financial presentations for management meetings and business reviews including resources analysis and budget planning process
- Assist in Expenses tracking
- Drive connectivity between different product groups and line of businesses
- Analyze and report key trends and themes for senior audiences.
- Lead offsite planning/preparation, training and other initiatives.
- Work with regional / global business management team in delivery of regional/ global deliverables.
- Project manage existing and new business initiatives and drive to completion in a timely manner.
- Ad-hoc requests and special projects
Skills Required and Qualifications:
- Project Management/Consulting experience including 10+ years managerial experience motivating and leading teams
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce/other related field required; MBA or an advanced degree from a top-tier program a plus
- Strong sense of prioritization & ability to execute against deliverables. Able to take personal accountability for projects & issue resolution
- Extensive experience driving process change and efficiencies in a growing business - strong focus on execution and delivery against objectives
- Analytic problem solver with excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to build strong, cohesive partnerships with the business, operations, technology & other key stakeholders and work effectively in a matrix organization
- Understanding of the investment process and associated market practices with the ability to think strategically about how to create business led solutions
- Ability to challenge and influence stakeholders to ensure decisions are well thought out and can be executed from an operations perspective
