Role Summary :

As a Trade Support Associate you will manage in partnership with other team members the operations of the department by monitoring, analyzing, and processing transactions via the front-end system. You will be accountable for facilitating the accuracy and timely entry of financing transactions. 

- Daily trade processes that the team will be responsible for are: deal maintenance functions, identifying trade discrepancies, unmatched trades, and the potential risk related to trades.

- You must have the ability to handle complex operational/settlement problems under general supervision, as well as be responsible for performing a daily trade reconciliation of positions and trades. On a daily basis you will be interacting with counterparties, traders, immediate supervisors, and settlements.

- Strong analytical thinking coupled with strong IT skills is essential. In addition, the ability to understand and manage the multitude of flows between the various clients plus the numerous downstream systems flows is essential, hence the operational nature of the role.

Primary group responsibilities include :

- Trade maintenance for all trades/structures with reconciliation between front and back end trading systems

- Manage Cheapest to Deliver (CTD) optimization process for cash and security collateral transactions

- Tracking, and reviewing posted collateral on a daily/weekly basis in order to efficiently meet JPM's collateral requirements, entailing working with other functional areas in order to meet this objective

- Metrics reporting for upper management and control teams within the Middle Office

- Project Management: Manage range of projects for the team, working with a number of internal stakeholders across trading, operations, finance, technology, treasury and business management

- Produce ad-hoc scenario based reporting, as requested by Front Office / Management

- Ensures all issues are dealt with effectively and resolved accordingly in a timely manner

- Reviews, collaborates and prepares potentially new operational procedures in line with changes and developments in the business

Required Skills :

- Experience working with (or in) the fixed income derivatives business with a good understanding of fixed-income and Financing (Repo); understanding of repo bookings and settlements for bilateral and triparty trades would be beneficial

- Experience/knowledge of trade support

- Strong technical and quantitative skills; strong excel and data manipulation skills required; VBA skills a plus

- Candidate should possess a strategic mindset, be an independent thinker and be able to set direction and lead projects on their own in order to deliver results

- Strong communication and organization skills, plus ability to work in partnership with several other groups on a shared agenda

- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects while continuing to deliver on daily requirements
