Wealth Management (WM) Operations supports the JPMorgan Private Bank in JP Morgan's Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) line of business. The Private Bank is the world's premier service provider for ultra and high net worth individuals. Our goal is to help these affluent individuals across the globe optimize their wealth, after taxes and across generations. Wealth Management Operations provides end-to-end support for all aspects of the client experience, working closely with client service, fiduciary, product specialty groups, third party vendors, and other internal groups.
Position Summary :
Wealth Management is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill an open Analyst role within the Private Bank Tax Control team. The Analyst will be responsible for performing data reconciliations to ensure compliance with the new Department of Labor Fiduciary rules for retirement accounts and researching exceptions. The analyst will partner with the Central DOL team, the Retirement Funding team, Legal, Compliance, Client Service, Advisors, and various other teams to review exceptions and escalate issues.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee the reconciliation of retirement affirmations and funding transactions
- Oversee any other reconciliations required to ensure compliance with the DOL Fiduciary Rule
- Maintain records of all reconciliations
- Research exceptions identified via the reconciliation and coordinate with various teams to validate the transactions
- Escalate prohibited transactions timely
- Identify opportunities for enhancements to the reconciliation process and gaps that could lead to prohibited transactions
- Develop subject matter expertise for retirement accounts and the DOL Fiduciary Rule
- Maintain procedural documents ensuring they are concise and up to date
- Maintain a Shared Mailbox to ensure organization necessary for efficient operations
- The selected individual may be asked to assist with other tasks / projects at management discretion
Qualifications :
- 2-4 years operations experience
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal / written communication skills
- Adaptable and quick learner. Demonstrate a high level of initiative and be a self-starter; take ownership of assignments with minimal direction
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Demonstrated ability to manage to tight delivery timelines and calmness under pressure
- College degree or equivalent work experience required
- Advanced computer skills: MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio)
- Familiarity with DOL Fiduciary Rule and/or retirement accounts a plus
- Wealth Management experience a plus
