- Handle India GST Compliance & GST Refund process
- Review GST workings
- People Management
- Run data analytical reports to identify inconsistencies with data and support IT module builds.
- Work to strict and tight deadlines on a monthly basis.
- Establish and maintain an effective communication and engagement model with key contacts within various parts of JP Morgan including Tax, Finance, Lines of Business and other stakeholders.
- Create/maintain monthly MIS to support Local Management
- Assist with the development of new processes and ensure they are clearly documented, communicated, and delivered against success criteria.
- Ensure issues are raised / escalated and driven through to resolution.
- Ensure risks & dependencies are highlighted, with mitigation options presented.
- Coordinate sign off's / approvals as required.
- Manage/Develop/Coach Team to ensure the Team objectives are achieved within specified timelines
- Assist with interactions outside of JP Morgan, chiefly with the various tax authorities in India.
- Apply for any GST refunds including preparing documents and invoices to support these applications.
- Assist Local Management with other team initiatives to simplify processes
- Assist with requirements for other jurisdictions
- Good understanding of India GST Law
- Ability to review GST returns
- Ability to work with, and use, large amounts of data in organized and effective manner.
- Strong analytical skills, a problem solver, logical thinker with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written skills with clear, concise & logical documentation.
- Excellent organisation & planning skills
- Issue & risk management and resolution skills
- Good communication, negotiation and relationship management skills
