Control Manager - Senior Associate
Description:
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform Controls Evaluation and Review Risk / Control related data (QA results, Triggers, KPI/KRI) to proactively identify existing and emerging Operational risks and issues
- Manage a team of evaluators and provide support for the end-to-end execution of the Control and Operational Risk Evaluation (CORE)
- Engage with controls colleagues across the firm, business, operations management, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators and technology control functions
- Provide leadership at site as well as team wide initiatives to foster a culture of collaboration
- Provide ongoing feedback, training and develop team members on risk concepts and the application to risk and controls evaluation
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to stakeholders (within CCMO as well as to Control Managers, Business Leads) on the Control Evaluation Results as well as analysis around failure themes
Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification required, Masters Degree / Professional Degree (CA/CPA) preferred
- SOX, CCAP, FDICIA & US Tier 1C testing experience preferred, 8-15 years of Financial Service Industry experience with exposure in Risk & Controls evaluation, Quality Assurance, Compliance or Audit preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of people management experience required, Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Adaptable to shifting priorities; manages competing priorities to achieve the most effective result and able to work in a fast-paced, results driven environment, Problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to synthesize large amounts of data and formulate appropriate conclusions; Understanding root cause / identifying control deficiencies, Ability to make subjective and informed decisions based upon output, influence stakeholders and justify decision making
