The associate will work as part of the CCB - Risk model monitoring team responsible for development and maintenance of model monitoring automation solution. The person will be responsible monitoring model health for different business groups and inform any key model dependencies and developing issues. Key stakeholders include CCB Risk Modeling teams - Cards, Auto, Business Banking, Home Lending and Fraud; MRGR and Compliance.
Key Responsibilities :
- Building the target state model monitoring automation solution using open source software or any other
- On-board models to the automation solution for monitoring
- Enhancement to the automation system as required
- Execute model monitoring processes and publish the results to the stakeholders
- Assist in the assessment of model performance and reviews and progress on action items.
- Implement controls as needed
Requirements :
- Proven experience in application design and development using - Python, PySpark, R, Big Data, and Hive
- Good technical skills in SAS and Tableau
- Very strong quantitative skills
- At a minimum, undergraduate degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or a quantitative science
- Some experience in risk at a financial services institution strongly preferred
- Excellent communications skills - verbal and written
- Team work oriented - active collaborator and self-starting individual
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Risk and Control mindset
- Ability to ask right questions and escalate issues to relevant stakeholders
