Purpose
Candidate to help with tax reporting with regards to capital gains and income as well as other specific tax reporting for clients as part of Tax operations role. You will ensure each day that the tax treatment of our client's transactions meets the requirements of tax authorities.
Role & Responsibilities
- Tax reporting for foreign entities including US 1042, US 1099, CRS & FATCA, & UK Tax
- Analyzing & reconciling trade/transaction feed between accounting system and tax system to ensure accurate gain/loss reporting in tax packs/reports
- Ensuring the various tax reporting production
- Producing with a high level of quality annual and on-demand tax reports on capital gains and income for clients
- Ensuring that our tax statements meets the foreign tax requirements.
- Helping the team head to optimise production processes and contributing to the continual improvement of production tools
- Ensuring independent follow up on client requests and resolution of queries
Profile/Skills
- Bachelors/Master's in Accounting or Economics.
- At least five years' experience in banking operations, especially in Tax operations/reporting
- Good Knowledge of CRS and FATCA reporting
- Good Knowledge of UK or US Tax (1042 and 1099 Tax reporting)
- Securities knowledge and back office operations knowledge pertaining to Corporate Actions and Hedge funds
- Experience on client tax onboarding is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Skilled user of MS Office (especially Excel)
- Strong stakeholder management skills
