Position Summary:

This position sits within the Finance & Business Management (F&BM) department;

Primary Responsibilities:

- Financial analysis: Analysis and interpretation of financial statements including preparing of financial

- Strong power point presentation skills, should be able to lay out the story for townhalls and Senior management reviews

- Coordinating with multiple clients and partners including front-office Business Heads, Business Managers, Product Controllers, External Reporting, Balance Sheet/RWA, Sales & Marketing P&A and CIB Central team functions

- Headcount and Expense Projections : Coordinating with business and understanding the headcount projections, tracking productivity targets, investments and related expenses

- Providing monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reporting on business performance together with relevant analysis to aid business heads/managers in strategic decision making

- Driving the Expense agenda for the business. Understand the expense base, investigate & coordinate with service providers for details, suggest areas for expense reductions & review results with business heads on a monthly basis

- Suggest initiatives in improving MIS reporting for the business as well as develop processes to meet new requests from senior management. Further extending it to other businesses within CIB for standardization

- Contribute to the strategic goals of the business in order to achieve internal efficiencies & profitability

- Assist in ad-hoc business strategic & finance projects for efficiencies in business performance and MIS reporting

- Participate in the year end plan process

- Allocation rules & billing models to recover function costs from supported businesses

- Maintenance of reference data

- Play a proactive role in enhancing the current BAU processes

- The role is an individual contributor role and will not involve direct people management but will require stakeholder management skills

- Partner with team across finance: Needto partner with various F&BM team like controllers, business managers which will provide support to business in the areas of Business Review, Town hall presentation outlining future vision, evolving business landscape across regions & products

Qualifications

- Post-Graduates (MBA's/CA's) with 2-3 years experience in banking, knowledge of the financial services industry preferable

- The successful candidate needs to possess strong analytical skills with great attention to detail, an eye for spotting trends, articulate in written and verbal communication and present and support their own conclusions to senior audiences

- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills is a pre-requisite

- Must be proactive with a drive to better processes and resolve outstanding issues

- Strong organizational, project and time management skills; flexibility, ability to dynamically prioritize requests and multitask in the face of ever-changing and sometimes conflicting demands

- Enthusiastic, self-motivated and effective under pressure

- Strong analytical and numeric skills, understanding of financial statements, excellent attention to detail. Able to analyze large data sets and present conclusions concisely

- Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships and influence others, across multiple disciplines and across levels of seniority

- Ability to work well individually and partner effectively within a team

- Pro-active and problem solving mindset with ability to identify, clearly present and implement solutions

- Thorough understanding and appreciation of risks and controls; Disciplined approach to managing processes and controls
