AWM Client Technology - Data Engineering Lead
Description: JP Morgan Asset and Wealth Management technology is seeking an experienced and passionate software engineering leader to lead AM Party and Accounts data platform. This role offers the chance to utilize your leadership and engineering skills, to manage the existing platform, transform agile processes and drive efficiencies in SDLC. The individual is expected to collaborate with global stakeholders in defining strategy for future platform evolution. You'll be part of a diverse team that values creativity and teamwork, with the opportunity to shape the technical architecture to meet future needs.
As a Director of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset and Wealth Management technology division, you will be given the unique opportunity to guide a skilled team of software engineers. Your primary responsibility will be to manage existing platform and it's roadmap execution while laying out a strategy for it's transformation to support future growth needs, in terms of core capabilities, data storage, distribution, privacy and optimization.
Job Responsibilities:
- To Build and lead a work class engineering team
- Be Passionate about technology and obsessed about delivering solutions to our clients
- Defining and executing on a roadmap to address both current and future needs of our data needs in the space of Client and Account data
- Strong Design and architecture capabilities to build highly scalable data platforms
- Need to manage stakeholder and collaborate across all levels
- Should be able to understand talent needs of the team and be able to recruit talent to grow the team.
- Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Formal training or certification on data platform concepts and 10+ years applied experience. In addition, 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise\"
- Hands on expert level experience with Java and Object oriented concepts
- Strong understanding of relational databases and data technologies, strong experience in MSSQL, Oracle
- Expertise in middleware stack such as messaging (Kafka)
- Demonstrate experience building and leading enterprise applications and data platforms
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Desirable Skills:
- 3+ years of experience working on cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Knowledge of Angular/React a plus
- Domain modeling experience is a plus
