Role Responsibilities:
- Understand the Credit Ecosystem - Tools & Applications, Policies, Procedures, Guidelines, and Systems required to perform the Risk Reporting role as well as Credit Analysis of Real Estate Borrowers
- Build a strong understanding of the client portfolio in Real Estate Banking and Community Development Banking sub-LOBs in Commercial Real Estate
- Develop strong working knowledge of the loan execution process in Real Estate Banking and Community Development Banking, as well as of the various parties involved in the "Life Cycle of a Loan"
- Build deep understanding of the various credit products and facilities offered by JP Morgan, as well as of the product documentation terms
- Build expertise in handling/ working on the internal Data Management systems; and make accurate, quality and timely updates of the relevant data in them
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Develop and maintain open communication channels with all the global stakeholders, including Underwriters and Portfolio Managers
- Demonstrate flexibility and strong ability to work in a team environment
- Maintain excellent turnaround times
- Contribute to various projects focused on improving efficiencies, risk technology, enhancing risk reporting, regulatory compliance, etc.
Qualifications:
- Commerce Graduates / Commerce Post-graduates/ MBAs (with Finance specialization) / CAs with experience in finance / accounting / reporting roles
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft desktop tools (MS Word, Excel and Power Point) and ability to learn new tools, techniques and applications
- Good understanding of corporate finance and financial statements, including ratio analysis and basic accounting principles
- Highly motivated and detail-oriented self-starter; with the ability to effectively multitask and prioritize things
- Deadline orientation; strong attention to detail and high accuracy
- Ability to work proactively & independently, and as part of a team comprised of local and remote colleagues
- Attitude and aptitude to learn and enhance knowledge of credit risk analysis; and passion for real estate sector
- Strong & Effective communication skills - both verbal & written; and good interpersonal skills to be able to effectively build strong relationships with stakeholders across regions and at various hierarchies
