JP Morgan Chase - Business Systems Analyst II

- Correction analytics team deals with break across Chase bank relating to product as Credit Cards, Consumer and Business banking, Auto Finance and Merchant services.

- These breaks can present complex, multilayered, and data intensive business problems. Typically these problems will be of an unstructured nature, whereby the CA will be expected to quickly assess and comprehend the situation, and develop a practical approach/strategy to the analysis.

- Activities include (but are not be limited to), identifying impacted populations based on defined Business problem, calculating often complex financial impact. Financial impact are the amount which the customer should not have been charged o the customer should have received from chase. Should be able to follow the process of recalculating interest charges over a period time, recalculating total refund amount (Refund +Interest) based on exclusion of specific charges, and determining if fees applied would not have otherwise been billed.

- This role requires extensive interaction with business stakeholders, Project Managers and Business analyst. The candidate have to possess strong problem solving and reasoning skills as the business problem sometime is not clear or very straight forward. In-depth understanding of banking product is good to have.

- The role will offer you an opportunity to dig deeper and enhance your banking product understanding and knowledge about day to day working knowledge of sub-products of the same like, Credit card pricing strategy, Credit card acquisition process, ATM process, Business lending product, Auto lending etc.

Skills:

Required:

- Expertise and practical work experience in SQL, SAS & Alteryx

- Proficiency with standard MS Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.)

- Ability to independently do root cause analysis.

- Understanding of the data infrastructure in a FS organization

- Ability to quickly self-learn different business and execute analytics projects for new lines of business

- Understanding the business problem and Working out an analytical solution

Preferred:

- Alteryx, Tableau and python will be good to have.

- Proficient in Tera Data database environments. Oracle environments a plus.

- In-depth understanding of writing and maintaining UNIX Scripts.

- Elevated proficiency in MS Excel

Qualifications :

- Must be detailed and quality assurance oriented

- Must possess strong process adherence discipline

- Throughout the life cycle of a project, specific process control procedures and documentation must be followed and completed by the CA.

- Be able to work multiple problems simultaneously; typically a CA will be assigned three to five problems at once

- Must possess good verbal and written communication skills
