As a Quality Senior Associate in the Compliance, Conduct & Operational Risk (CCOR) Quality Assurance Monitoring and Testing (M&T) team, you will be responsible for the timely and effective management and execution of the firm's global monitoring and testing program across multiple lines of business. You will be part of a team of individuals responsible for providing solutions to drive effective controls monitoring and testing techniques using data, and for the execution of certain monitoring and testing engagements. Our team will be covering all Lines of Business within JP Morgan (e.g., Corporate and Investment Bank, Asset Wealth Management, Commercial Bank and Consumer Community Banking).
Job responsibilities
As QA Sr Compliance Officer
- Leads, executes, and participates in CCOR M&T QA reviews in accordance with the established M&T program.
- Develops, maintains, lead and executes the annual testing plan, identifies potential gaps, and follows through on reporting, escalation, and resolution.
- Assesses (including the root cause analysis), documents, and communicates emerging risks, themes and identified issues to leadership and risk partners in a timely manner. Provides status updates to key stakeholders on programs and specific reviews where warranted.
- A team player and a self-starter who is accustomed to working in complex organizations, partnering with a diverse group of stakeholders, and achieving results with effective communication and collaboration with the stakeholders viz includes - Global Testing heads, Legal, Audit, and regulators on risk related topics.
- Partnership with Monitoring & Testing, Operational Risk and Compliance managers, and business stakeholders. Involvement in departmental projects particularly in relation to the development of the development of the Annual Monitoring and Testing Plan
- Work with global testing partners to support global monitoring and testing assignments as directed.
- Perform ongoing QA reviews of the Compliance functions mentioned, to ensure controls/standards are met.
- Question and investigate the reliability and integrity of data, the validity of conclusions and the appropriateness of assumptions made.
- Identify key issues, trends, observations and effectively report summary results to key stakeholders. Ensure consistency with the Global QA framework and governance approach
As QA Analytics:
- Identify Analytical Solutions / Automation Solutions that deliver value: Deliver analytical solutions by leveraging analytical solutions with the use of tools like Python, Alteryx, UiPath The candidate will also be expected to introduce concepts like AI, ML and drive its adoption toward CCOR Test automation and gaining deeper insights into CCOR Testing activities.
- Utilize data analytics to identify trends, anomalies, areas of risk & support continuous monitoring and enhancement of the control environment.
- Manage multiple projects that seek automation of testing models and building automated monitoring models: Partner with key stakeholders to automate testing activities and increase frequency to monitor compliance in 'close to real time'.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Master's or bachelor's degree in one or a combination of the following: Analytics, Finance, Accounting, or Reporting.
- Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in the financial services industry in Compliance, Risk management, Audit preferably in AWM, CIB, or Technology QA Control Testing.
- Solid understanding of internal control concepts with the ability to evaluate and determine the adequacy of controls by considering business and technology risks in an integrated manner. This includes strong analytical skills particularly in regard to assessing the risks associated with execution deficiencies.
- Extensive experience with developing analytical solutions using various common tools such as Alteryx, Python, Tableau etc with clear business rationale and value in mind
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
- Strong relationship building skills to influence/negotiate desired outcomes. Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with colleagues and senior management. Strong verbal/written communication
- Working hours will be 1.30 to 10.30 pm IST.
