- Firmwide Business Workforce Strategy team is a part of the Global Finance & Business Management function. This team works to strategically manage workforce location planning. By providing information, analysis and recommendations to improve results and drive decisions, FBWS team ensures the company adopts the best Workforce Strategy.
job Description:
- The position will play a key role in driving the FBWS program - a top strategic priority for the firm - across multiple lines of businesses in locations globally. The program is focused on optimizing our work-force in strategic global locations, including consolidating into world-class corporate centers of excellence that enhance our client support, employee satisfaction, productivity and controls, while optimizing operating costs. The role will also support other Workforce Strategy partners on all resource management related questions, as well as driving key initiatives through working closely with the key stakeholders.
- Critical to the role's success is having superior analytical and technical skills, the capacity and desire to work both at a strategic and detailed analysis level, and being able to multi-task and effectively navigating through peak demand. The successful candidate will have the ability to analytically review processes and tools to identify improvements while being flexible in shifting workload priorities in a fast-paced priority driven environment under tight deadlines. This is a demanding role and requires a talented individual that is able to handle a heavy workload and large data sets, and partner well with other teams in a collaborative way.- Core activities associated with the position include the following:
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Preparing and presenting location value proposition to senior business leaders, including location leaders
- Advisor to senior business managers to solution for location and workforce plans
- Assist with projects, particularly as it relates to reporting and executive presentations
- Provide communication to internal audiences which could include financial, operational and sensitive data
- Analyze and reconcile periodic headcount changes in key locations to highlight any potential program management issues
- Analyze headcount variances and trends, consolidate and report explains in the month-end commentary, summarize complex data sets and provide key messages
- Assist the Workforce Strategy team with ad-hoc resource management related inquiries and issues
Skills / Competencies Needed/Education Qualifications:
- MBA or an advanced degree from a top-tier program is preferable
- Strong in business storytelling and presentations
- 4+years of experience within complex programs in global financial institutions.
- Advanced systems skills required including a strong command of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and/or other analytics
software's such as Alteryx, Tableau or QlikView
- Team player; Excellent communication, project management, and client partnership ability
- Proactive self-starter with tremendous problem-solving skills and an analytical/insightful mindset who takes initiative to understand issues and improve end to end process, innovates and goes beyond immediate responsibilities
- Ability to learn new concepts, systems, processes and initiatives in a fast evolving environment
- Thrives on challenges in an unstructured working environment
