About Mortgage Product Development/Management:

The Private Bank Mortgage Solutions business is a top 10 jumbo mortgage originator in the U.S. with $50 billion in outstanding mortgage balances and exclusively serves the clients of the J.P. Morgan Private Bank and J.P. Morgan Advisors businesses.

The Mortgage Product team is responsible for the planning, creation, design, launch and lifecycle management of the mortgage product, process and/or pricing initiatives for U.S. and International Private Bank. The team is a business function and reports to the Head of International Mortgage Business Management. The key goal is to enable the mortgage growth by innovating, bringing strategic insights and efficiencies across locations in line with the regional regulatory framework. The team will partner closely with front office advisors, mortgage and lending specialists, legal, treasury, risk management, compliance, operations, technology, and marketing to enable change for mortgage product, process and/or pricing initiatives.

Role Overview:

The Mortgage Product Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and on-going support of strategic product, process and/or pricing initiatives that meet business and regulatory demands. This individual will perform detailed analyses and define feasibility plans, coordinate and present delivery of results across different teams, departments and governance forums, manage and report progress through project plans and other reporting tools, and drive the implementation of mortgage initiatives by providing ongoing support, trainings and issue resolution for the impacted teams.

- Partner closely with the business to agree scope and priority for product, process and/or pricing initiatives

- Own, deliver and execute initiatives in a timely manner, manage and meet deadlines; effectively prioritize workload across the team and inform impacted functions of progress

- Understand the subject matter and context, including regulatory environment

- Coordinate and drive meeting's agenda, minutes and conversation; clear, concise and confident written and oral communications

- Own project deliverables; design, develop, establish and execute key reporting standards and KPIs, tasks and assignments

- Identify potential risks, issues and dependencies and the path to mitigation or resolution

- Take initiative in proposing solutions and "thinking outside of the box"; consider impact across business; collect information proactively and re-evaluate solutions

- Make results of own analysis understandable, enabling others to accept and buy-in to conclusion

- Deliver ongoing support, training and own post issue resolution for the impacted teams

- Show strong leadership in difficult or complex situations

Skills:

- Highly structured and organized

- Ability to work independently, while managing up and escalating appropriately

- Own end-to-end implementation of initiatives including analyses and feasibility, planning, project management, execution, training, evaluation and ongoing support

- Excellent communication skills to clearly convey key messages and summarize complex business situations to any audience and senior government forums

- Create and deliver compelling presentations for senior leadership

- Creative thinker who can balance client / advisor needs with business objectives

- Influencing skills to manage a variety of stakeholders from different functions across different regions

- Define and analyse problem statements, translate and present into tangible solutions

- Strategic and analytical thinker with a drive towards execution and results

- Team player who proactively shares knowledge and information within and outside the function

- Strong proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Experience & Qualifications:

- MBA (or equivalent) strongly preferred

- 12-16 years of experience leading large scale programs, business management or management consulting in an agile environment

- Financial services/business consultancy background, preferably in Wealth Management
