Job Description :


Business Overview:


The Global Fund Services ("GFS") group serves the worldwide securities needs of asset managers, pension funds and central banks. GFS is made up of six product companies; Fund Accounting, Transfer Agency, Trust & Fiduciary, Investment Operations, Investment Analytics and Global Derivatives Services. Our businesses operate throughout the world, but with primary locations in the UK, United States, Luxembourg, Ireland. The Global Service Centers (GSC) providing operational services are based out of Mumbai, Bangalore and Manila (MBM). The team predominantly works across Newton and EMS systems as part of Run The Business deliverables.


Newton :


Newton is an in-house, agile developed Workflow Management Tool. It defines, creates and executes simple to complex work flows best suited to a repeatable process-driven environment. Currently, there are around 4,500 users of the application globally.


EMS :


Exception Manager System ( EMS ) is an exception management system where validation checks are built & used by the operation to ensure correct & timely delivery of NAV


Role and Responsibilities :


- Onboarding and designing of process flows on Newton and EMS


- Maintenance of existing workflow, Analysis of existing processes and processing the changes as requested by end users


- Challenge Operational Teams to reduce the MTP and bring in efficiencies.


- Interact with multiple stakeholders within global operations and projects teams;


- Regular stakeholders communication and timely escalation


- Ensure requirements for Operational readiness are fully understood and agreed by key sponsors and stakeholders.


- Leading walk-through of requirements and designs with technology and business areas.


- Partner with technology teams to ensure user stories/ requirements are well understood and ensure the technical solution satisfies the user requirements


- Own the Sprint planning & ensure the project is delivered within scope, time & effort


- Own test planning, test case creation & independent execution of Functional as well as regression Testing for the sprint


- Stakeholder management across Regions, Functions & LOBs for smooth prioritization & delivery cycles


- Manage post-implementation review and closure process for business analysis; incorporate lessons learned into future sprints

- Experience working within a matrix-style structure across a global team


- Coding Knowledge & working with IF/ AND conditions will be added advantage


- Risk awareness - Strong impact analysis skillset required.


- Prior knowledge / experience of working with Exception Management System (EMS) / Invest One / Invest One OLE data extract tool
