Job Title : Data Management Associate

Short Description : With exponential year-over-year growth of data generated, strong Data Governance, including Data Quality, is critical to ensure clean, fit-for-purpose data. The CIB Chief Data Office (CDO) is responsible for defining and implementing the Firmwide Data Management strategy to create an industry-leading data environment.

Posting Description :

- The successful candidate will join a team focused on delivering business impact through transformation of Data Quality management.


- The role will require working with stakeholders across the CIB, other LOBs and Corporate Functions to ensure fit-for-purpose data, looking to leverage best practice across the industry and other J.P. Morgan business units.

- This role provides an outstanding opportunity for the selected candidate to join a high-profile team at JPMorgan Chase and take a partnership role, supporting one of the Bank's most significant change programs.

Job Responsibilities :

- Function as an Independent 'Product Owner' who owns deliverables from the Book of Work to analyze Requirements, raise clarifications with Stakeholders and create Atomic JIRAs for technology to deliver

- Function as a Stakeholder-facing Product Owner who can synthesize the requirements, drive the analysis with appropriate questions supported by workflow documents, scenario analysis and wireframes (as needed)

- Prioritize stories based on epics, manage them in backlog and ensure development focuses on JIRAs with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy

- Partner with other Product Owners across different teams and Lines of Business to ensure project is delivered on schedule, within budget and within scope. Support end to end User Acceptance Testing process and conduct overall project evaluations/quality control

- Proactively lead and deliver on each Sprint throughout the agile lifecycle of a project. Track defects, perform root cause analysis and identify the means to resolving them

- Plan and prioritize Product JIRA backlog and define product vision, road-map and synergies. Assist in the planning of Implementation Plan per Agile release and identify the set of activities/task that need to perform on the Release date

- Support management of projects on an ongoing basis, evaluating progress and quality, managing the issue resolutions process and taking corrective action or escalating the issue when appropriate .

Required qualification, capabilities & skills :

- Demonstrated strong business Product Owner experience

- Minimum of 5 yeas hands-on end-to-end Agile Product Owner/ Business Analyst experience

- Must have experience writing business requirements and grooming user stories with technology partners

- Prior Project Managements and test management experience

- Strong communication and presentation skills, leadership skills, ability to drive the stakeholders to determine the Requirements. Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

- Ability to Independently lead and drive initiatives to completion and manage risks/issues

- Attention to detail and ability to work independently. A team player, adaptable to changing environment

Preferred qualification, capabilities & skills :

- Experience in CIB and CDO/Data Quality organization

- Experience in querying database/data stores for data analysis.

- Experience in producing PowerPoint presentations for senior audiences

- Exposure to tools/technologies such as Alteryx/Tableau/Qlikview/Python/Informatica/Collibra
