Job Description :


- As a Control Management Associate, you'll be responsible for ensuring the line of business has a sustainable and disciplined end-to-end control environment, identifying and escalating issues with a sense of urgency, and partnering with the Business to ensure issues are remediated in a timely manner.


- The team assists in top-down risk analysis, real-time control issue detection, escalation, root cause analysis, and remediation.

Role Responsibilities :

- Provide leadership and direction to a team of control managers supporting completion of Change Risk reviews and implementation of CB/Firmwide Control Programs requirements within WLS

- Collaborate with cross-LOB partners to ensure appropriate coverage as well as building awareness of the team's function while increasing visibility and partnership

- Provide credible challenge to senior business partners to ensure risk-based approach and consistency with regards to results and potential gaps on changes and other projects

- Provide ongoing recommendations for improvements by incorporating emerging and key business risks, inclusive of identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency

- Lead projects related to process improvements, improving the framework and strategically delivering to bolster the control environment

- Support CB program, Regulatory, and other project requests

- Conduct training to educate and inform team members

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

- 10+ years of financial service experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, or risk management preferred

- Proficient knowledge of Operational Risk Standards and Procedures, with the ability to design, create and run an organization

- Proven ability to build strong partnerships with key stakeholders, and collaborate with business and functional experts to provide guidance and to recognize risks and gaps

- Excellent organizational, project management, time management and multi-tasking skills - ability to remain flexible and productive through shifting priorities and deadlines

- Demonstrated ability to manage expectations, achieve deadlines and deliver quality results and meet tight deadlines within a team environment

- Self-motivated and confident decision-maker with the ability to demonstrate leadership, challenging and influencing change where necessary, with a desire to drive process improvement

- Experience leading and managing a team of individual contributors, focusing on performance as well as individual growth and career progression of each individual

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to influence business leaders in a meaningful and actionable manner

- Ability to make subjective and informed decisions based upon output, influence stakeholders and justify decision making

- Excels in using Microsoft suite, PitchPro, and able to quickly learn various other tools/platforms

- Knowledge of Commercial Banking sub-LOB, Functional areas is a plus

- Very high level of professionalism and sense of urgency- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

Preferred Qualifications :

- Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse team in multiple geographies

- Working knowledge of loan operations environment

- Strong analytical skills and ability to isolate the root source/cause
