The team is comprised of credit officers, credit executives and Analysts and Associates (A&A's). Mumbai based A&As are an integral part of A&NZ CIB Credit Risk team and they assist in (i) accurate assignment of risk ratings to clients and facilities, (ii) monitoring of the portfolio for timely changes in risk ratings and exposures and (iii) new transactions and amendments to existing credit exposures.
Role and responsibilities :
- Monitor an assigned portfolio of diverse financial institutions with a range of products including derivatives, F&O products, Intraday liquidity facilities, treasury management products and securities trading/financing products
- Track portfolio clients/sectors on a continuous basis and update key stakeholders on material developments w.r.t. their clients/ industry and potential ratings impact
- Prepare annual credit reviews for clients in the assigned portfolio (covering macro overview, industry/sector, regulatory, competitor, business and financial analysis) and recommend any changes required in risk ratings and credit facilities
- Contribute to new transactions in terms of credit analysis, client due diligence, discussions with business stakeholders, negotiation of legal documentation and accurate setup of client facilities in risk systems
- Build strong relationships and maintain open communication with credit risk colleagues, Operations, Legal, Middle Office and other stakeholders
- Partner actively with credit risk colleagues in Sydney, Operations and others for on boarding, deal execution, monitoring exposures and regulatory compliance
- Be current on applicable firm-wide risk policies and support the governance, reporting and data quality requirements of the assigned portfolio of clients
Qualifications:
- MBA from Top Tier B-School or professional qualification in Accountancy
Skills and Experience
- 3 - 6 years relevant credit risk management experience. Experience in covering credit risk for financial institutions is preferred
- Ability to understand and analyse financial statements including ratio analysis, accounting standards and financial adjustments.
- Good knowledge of credit analysis process. Prior experience in credit analysis of financial institutions is preferred
- Strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work proactively & independently as well as part of a team
- Deadline orientation; organized and responsible; high attention-to-detail
- Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel and Power Point
