Global Finance & Business Management ("GF&BM") India is a combined Line of Business-aligned (LOB-aligned) finance & business support team located in India and is part of JPMorgan's global capability center (GCC). We are part of the Office of the CFO (OCFO) organization within JPMorgan, which has 13000+ people across the globe, majority of whom are tasked with managing the firm's Finance function, responsible for reporting quarterly earnings and complying with regulatory requirements along with managing the firm's capital.
GF&BM India was established in September 2002 and currently we have a network of more than 3400+ professionals based out of our Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad offices who support four main "pillars" of work - Controllers, Planning & Analysis, Finance Operations and Business Client & Products. The teams in India are aligned to the respective LOBs that they support which include Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB), Commercial Banking (CB), Consumer and Community Banking (CCB), Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) and Corporate/Firmwide functions. The current opening is within the Global Services team in Bangalore which forms part of the Commercial Banking (CB) LOB within GF&BM India.
About the Team :
At JPMorgan Chase, Commercial Banking ("CB") is a top provider of banking services to wholesale clients from small businesses to large, complex businesses with domestic and international needs. CB is comprised of Corporate Client Banking & Specialized Industries (CCBSI), Middle Market Banking & Specialized Industries (MMBSI), Real Estate Banking, Commercial Term Lending and Community Development Banking. Commercial Banking is making significant investments across our business to improve how we interact with our clients in every way.
The Associate will join the CB Global Finance and Business Management organization, assisting with data & management reporting development agenda for regulatory operations. The candidate will learn core business processes, build new data mart capabilities, develop metrics/management reporting, and provide decision support via ad hoc reporting and data analytics
In particular, the CB solutions team functions as an internal business & metrics reporting and analytics group responsible for delivering highly quantitative and qualitative reports and analytics tools that support bankers, salespeople, and senior management agendas.
The Associate on the team will have the opportunity to work on high-impact initiatives that help drive profitability and efficiency across the Commercial Banking organization. The candidate will be responsible for assisting the business in ongoing development and maintenance of BI tools, data management, data analytics and reporting & analysis.
About the Role :
Primary Responsibilities :
- Support and partner with Business Leads via tactical and strategic assistance to drive business priorities
- Assist leadership with key finance and business management functions including project management, creation and analysis of sales/management reporting, and ad-hoc requests reviews like Quarterly Business Review's, Operating Committee reviews etc.
- Support business management team to develop, implement and execute key analysis and reporting to be leveraged by all levels within the business, as well as senior management in CB Intl. Banking
- Identify areas for continued process improvement and enhance efficiencies by generating innovative ideas and solutions
- Prepare presentation materials to be shared with management, business groups and other relevant stakeholders
- Liaising / monitoring with Business teams on various control / audit related aspects
- Identify and execute on efficiency/automation opportunities in the existing data consolidation/reporting processes
- Manage production of key month-end reports like Executive Monthly review packs, Performance reports etc. for senior management
- Creating and driving strategic narratives for international businesses and providing strategic advisory support.
- Analyzing operating results and key cost/revenue drivers (Revenues/Expenses/Capital & Across LOBs)
- Leverage multiple complex data sources and stake holder supplied information to generate decision support analytics.
Desired Candidate Profile :
- CA/MBA with 7 -10 years of experience working in Finance, Business Management & Analytics
- Execution and project management skills : Well-developed organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities. Able to quickly and effectively respond to rapidly changing business needs and urgent requests. Scope projects and create workable project plans. Strong organizational, time management and follow-up skills; flexibility, ability to prioritize requests and multi-task
- Communications skills : Must possess strong verbal and written communications skills, a keen business acumen and the ability to synthesize "the story" for executive-level audiences and adjust messages and style based on different audiences and agendas.
- Problem solving skills : Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities coupled with the ability to identify issues, gather and manipulate data, obtain consensus and support implementing change. Able to outline work process in a thoughtful and detailed manner. Intellectually curious with a genuine interest in knowledge gathering and problem solving
- Technical and analytical skills : Able to produce accurate, error-free analysis and reporting. Understand business drivers and ensure that the groups' analyses are sound. Capable of synthesizing large amounts of data in Excel and from internal systems to develop strategic conclusions
- Leadership and interpersonal skills - Strong professional presence with the ability to interact and influence colleagues at all levels in the business. Able to collaborate with peer team members across business and staff areas at all levels, and achieve goals without direct control over all resources. Proactively seeks guidance, clarification and feedback from others
- Proficient in Microsoft Access, Excel, and PowerPoint
