Department Description

The Business Architecture & Reengineering Group is a dedicated team of Program resources that are focused on delivering large scale change initiatives that span across business units to address Business, Industry and Client requirements across the Digital & Platform Services (D&PS) organization. The group provides a unique mix of project skills and product experience that are not tied to a specific business unit enabling it to provide a consistent, high-quality and responsive approach to the way we manage and execute change across the Corporate & Investment Bank.

Within the Business Architecture & Reengineering Group, the Digital Journey Program aims to drive multiple Technology automation initiatives across multiple Lines of Business with the emphasis on classification and digitization of the received documents using sophisticated ML, NLP and AI techniques. The group is focused on delivering these digitization opportunities as part of a multi-year program.

The Program team closely partners with Business users, Product, Technology and Global Program teams to drive the automation opportunities

Role Description

The team is seeking a high performing Associate candidate for a Business Analyst & Project Management role based out of Mumbai. The successful candidate will be involved in working with Business users / tech teams and product to define & understand the business requirements and then partner with other project / program stakeholders to successfully drive the Technology delivery. Understanding business requirement, project planning, execution, senior management reporting & other stakeholder updates (through scorecards, project plans, excellent power point presentations) and communication are key to driving the success of the role

This role provides a unique opportunity to gain exposure to a large, multi-year, cross-LOB program (CIB, DMO, WPO) partnering with representatives from across the organization including Operations, Technology, Product and Data Science groups.

This role requires the candidate to work on the EMEA Hours (12 PM IST to 9 PM IST)

Key responsibilities include

- Understanding the business requirements from the various teams / document types

- Prepare detail Project plans (using MPP tool or Excel version) covering all aspects and dependencies of the projects (example schedule, tasks, risks etc.)

- Partner with all Project, Tech and Program stakeholders to socialize and agree on the project baseline plan

- Drive the project through the schedule and budget through regular / weekly connects and ensuring documentation of all project agreements

- Participate in the Solution design process and ensuring clarity around the as-is and to-be future operating model

- Anticipate and drive through the project challenges and plan for the issues and risks in advance

- Invoke the Change Management as necessary after sighting budget, scope, schedule deviations

- Ensure all milestones are proactively agreed and aligned with project stakeholders for schedule and dependencies and driven seamlessly

- Maintain project scorecards and ensure regular updates to all project stakeholders

- Manage reporting to senior management, program sponsors and other forums as appropriate (using strong PowerPoint presentations and project scorecards / updates)

- Timely reporting on updates

- Ensure proactive and clear communication to stakeholders as appropriate

Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate needs to have a background in Business Analysis and Project management delivery and possess core project management skills around governance and senior management reporting. Must have strong business analysis skills and be able to demonstrate a structured approach to problem solving, as well as having excellent written and oral communication skills. The individual should be confident in dealing with staff at all levels, with a "can-do" personality to ensure issues get resolved and a strong sense of ownership. We work towards deadlines so it is crucial that the candidate is able to work under pressure.

Core Skills:

- 7+ years of Change Management or Project Management Experience and tools for managing projects

- Experience of working on large-scale cross-LOB programs desirable

- Business Analysis skills, ability to understand complex workflows and offer solutions

- Ability to manage a large portfolio of projects to maintain velocity and ensure targets are achieved

- Exceptional organizational skills, be able to prioritize demands/tasks based on priority level

- Strong analytical ability with experience in analysing and synthesizing large data sets

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and capable of developing strong story boards to support senior management update

- Strong understanding of project lifecycle, supporting documentation and control related requirements

- Strong level of proficiency with Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Project)

- Knowledge of DMO/WKO/SS business (i.e. lifecycle of various documents involvement in the process) will be an advantage

- Knowledge of Document Digitization (using ICR/OCR) will be an advantage

- High level Knowledge of Machine Learning and AI techniques will be an advantage

- Ability to multitask and handle high stress while maintaining accuracy in tight deadlines

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to work with cross-functional global teams and interact with all staff levels

- Comfortable with working in the EMEA Shift - 12pm IST to 9pm IST
