Investment Solutions provides Wealth Management clients with investment solutions across all major asset classes including equities, fixed income, alternatives, multi-asset and money market funds.
About the Solutions Product Development Team:
Our team designs, structures and packages investment products and offerings to support the strategic and tactical investment portfolio needs identified by Portfolio Managers and Asset Class Leaders in Wealth Management Investment Solutions. This involves building, maintaining and developing strong relationships with both internal and external investment managers and internal corporate partners (e.g. trading specialists, corporate lawyers, tax specialists, compliance and risk management) to deliver active and passive investment solutions to Wealth Management.
Among its core activities and in partnership with internal stakeholders, the team leads proactive conversations with internal and external investment managers to ensure Wealth Management's investment platform needs are fulfilled. The process requires: leading structured reviews of legal distribution agreements, leading the coordination work with internal corporate partners to ensure the tradability of selected vehicles onto J.P. Morgan systems, and consulting with internal partners on the implementation of changes to product features such as benchmarks, guidelines etc.
Role Overview:
This part of Solutions & Product Development Team sits within the Capital Markets Solution Team, and works in conjunction with the Cross Asset Trading Desk Heads & various support functions to achieve & support the following agendas:
- New Product & Business Solutions
- Platform Development
- Regulatory Initiatives
- Trading Process Improvements
- Day-to-Day Business Management for Trading Desk
Solutions & Product Development Team is responsible for the strategy, definition, and end-to-end execution of priority investment and regulatory initiatives across asset classes such as: Cash Equity, Exchange Traded Funds, Listed Options, Taxable bonds, Preferred shares and FX.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain monthly & weekly financial and business analysis reporting
- Drive annual research engagement process for the EMEA Investments Business
- Create and update quarterly business reviews for Solutions and Investment Team Leads
- Own and maintain Cross Asset Trading processes and procedure
- Identify, on board and maintain vendors across the trading business
- Participate and drive content for product governance forums
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Risk to identify and address areas of risk and regulatory exposure across multiple asset classes
- Develop and manage project plans though strategy development, project definition, solution development, agreement, and implementation
- Coordinate initiatives across regions to bring consistency between the US, EMEA, Asia, and Latam
- Numerous projects will require effective partnership with the following groups: Investment Leadership; Business Management; Legal and Compliance; Technology and Operations; Risk Management; Marketing; Finance; and Tax
Essential Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- Proactive, accountable, and detail oriented work ethic
- Organized and comprehensive project management approach and experience
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced and demanding environment
- Strong financial analysis and reporting skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate problems, solutions, and step by step instructions on how to implement them. Must be able to communicate with senior management to market participants, sales people, and technology staff equally effectively
- 3+ years of experience within financial services, preferably supporting the Global Markets business
- Familiarity with trading products including Equities, Exchange Traded Fund, Fixed Income and FX
- 1-2 coding experience preferred, specifically in VBA & Python
- Understanding of market trading conventions, settlement procedures, systems, and protocol in a wide variety of asset classes preferred.
