JP Morgan Chase - Analyst - Wholesale Credit risk - Central Counterparty Risk
Responsibilities:
- Developing an in-depth understanding of CCP risks in order to perform CCP credit due diligence and financial analysis and summarize in written credit approval memos and reviews
Managing portfolio of CCPs on an ongoing basis with ability to:
- Evaluate CCP rules/procedures as part of onboarding of CCPs
- Pro-actively monitor quarterly financials and risk related developments at CCPs, highlighting changes and following up to understand impact
- Support discussions to seek changes addressing risk concerns by tracking issues, preparing meeting agendas and circulating minutes
- Assess creditworthiness of and assign credit ratings to CCPs and their parent entities
- Review trading activity, including recommending credit enhancements and appropriate structures and provide inputs into legal negotiation of credit agreements
- Monitor exposures/ limits
- Participating in transactions and facilitate approval of credit facilities
- Contributing to team-wide efforts such as updating internal documents, coordinating and leading internal meetings, maintaining portfolio-wide benchmarking and infrastructure tasks
- Assisting team to facilitate completion of CCP risk related team-wide projects including presentations and time sensitive requests
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of work experience in financial services preferably in credit and/ or market risk management
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, close attention to detail and enthusiastic about client interaction
- Strong initiative with ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
- Knowledge of CCPs, clearing business activities and derivatives products a plus
- Excellent MS Office skills
