Key Responsibilities:
- Curate research reports on Sectors/Industries/Countries/Themes, share commentary and participate in investment research meetings to facilitate portfolio management activities
- Assess investment implementation options including passive investments (ETFs, investment trusts) and active mutual funds
- Assist with the development and maintenance of data, existing models, and excel based tools across asset classes
- Provide day-to-day support to Portfolio Managers, including data aggregation, reporting, and trading support across a broad range of investment products
- Drive strategic enhancements of existing tools and identify opportunities to leverage data, analytics, and models across investment teams
- Conducting quantitative & fundamental research
- Support with the development of proprietary models and analytical tools for portfolio construction, performance attribution and risk management
- Contribute to the launch of new investment strategies including ESG focused strategies
Essential Skills & Experience:
- 3-5 Years of experience supporting portfolio management activities in asset/wealth management
- Portfolio management experience at a mutual fund or a fund of fund investment management organization would be preferred
- Experience of analyzing Sectors/Industries/Countries/Themes and presenting an investment thesis to the CIO and Portfolio management teams
- Experience of working on Investment proposal development, Investor meeting decks and fund marketing materials
- MBA with CFA certification preferred
- Broad capital markets experience across asset classes and liquidity types
- Experienced in using Bloomberg/Factset/Morningstar to curate investment research reports and dashboards would be preferred
- Analytical experience, with a focus on statistical analysis, financial modelling or other investment related analysis, and strong proficiency in Microsoft office programs including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Experience in creating market dashboards, factsheets and investment prospectuses.
- Basic programming skills desirable. Preferably Python, VBA & SQL working on live projects
- Experience navigating and interpreting investment documentation and understanding of fund strategies / structures
- Ability to parse complex tasks and juggle priorities in a highly dynamic professional environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise with senior internal and external stakeholders
