About Investment Solutions :
- Investment Solutions provides Wealth Management clients with investment solutions across all major asset classes including equities, fixed income, alternatives, multi-asset, and money market funds.
Role Overview :
- The professional will be a member of the Operational Due Diligence team within the Investment & Research Team within Wealth Management Investment Solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supporting the operational due diligence process for long-only / liquid alternative investment managers and collaborating with the Manager Solutions team.
- Setting up and disseminating operationally focused questionnaires across a range of investment strategies and products
- Executing a systematic operational due diligence process specifically tailored to '40 Act mutual funds, UCITS funds, & SMAs
- Assess the operational infrastructure of the organization and identify key potential risks
- Active engagement with the third party investment managers to assess their ability to mitigate the operational risks as identified
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Qualified professional with 2-4 years of relevant work experience
- Related experience in operations, audit, compliance, and/or consulting
- Good understanding of financial markets and various security types
- Good understanding of investment strategies and fund structures
- Advanced proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs including Excel & PowerPoint
- The candidate should have experience performing and/or an understanding of how operational due diligence is conducted on both the '40 Act and UCITS investment structures
- Exceptional organization and analytical skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong written, presentation, and communication skills
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems and to manage multiple tasks at once
- Strong initiative, energy and confidence completing assignments with limited supervision
- This position is anticipated to require the use of one or more High-Security Access (HSA) systems. Users of these systems are subject to enhanced screening which includes both criminal and credit background checks, and/or other enhanced screening at the time of accepting the position and on an annual basis thereafter.
