About Investment Solutions:
Investment Solutions provides Wealth Management clients with investment solutions across all major asset classes including equities, fixed income, alternatives, multi-asset and money market funds.
Role Overview:
- The position is an Analyst for the Global Beta team, based in India. The Global Beta Analyst will be a member of the Manager Solutions Team within the Wealth Management Investment Solutions Team. The Manager Solutions Team oversees over $600bn in Private Bank assets invested in mutual funds, ETFs, hedge funds and SMAs.
- The Global Beta team is responsible for overseeing the due diligence and collaboration with a variety of third-party passive and systematic managers in order to provide best in class solutions to the discretionary and brokerage clients of the Wealth Management business. The scope of the team's due diligence spans asset classes and vehicle type, including Equities, Fixed Income and Commodities within a variety of vehicles ranging from ETFs to Mutual Funds and SMAs.
- The position will partner with the global team that has research analysts based in New York and London. The primary role of the Global Beta Analyst will be to support in the broader due diligence functions of the Global Beta team. This includes maintenance of the current platform and partnerships, participation in new searches for platform solutions, and research spanning a range of subjects from markets to portfolio management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in due diligence of the existing global platform of passive and systematic managers
- Review universe of potential solutions, across 40-Act and UCITS, and formulate views on best additions to existing platform as well as requests from internal partners
- Support in the creation of materials necessary for review and approval of new platform products
- Identify new areas of market trends, working with passive and systematic providers to launch new and innovative vehicles for the Private Banking platform
- Conduct research on new and existing products across asset classes to understand design, construction and implementation
- Partner with internal stakeholders to provide new solutions and recommendations on existing products as well as provide governance related updates on approved products
- Conduct and present attribution and ad-hoc analysis across a wide range of asset classes and investment types
- Support the use, implementation and enhancement of analytical tools utilized by the team
- Liaise with the technology team to provide design requirements for the integration of analytics and tools into a proprietary investment research and analytics platform
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree - Major/Minor in Mathematics, Engineering or Computer Science a plus
- Exceptional quantitative aptitude and skill set with a mastery of Microsoft Office applications. Proficiency in Bloomberg and Morningstar preferred. Experience with programming is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, fluid environment
- Rigorous analytical mindset with a high level of intellectual curiosity and excellent problem-solving skills
- Acute focus on attention to detail, accuracy and data validation
- Effective communication skills (listening, verbal, and written) and be able to present results to both expert and non-expert audiences
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Sound judgment and discretion; maintain a consistent and strong focus on compliance and risk management
- Strong initiative, energy and confidence completing assignments with limited supervision
- Experience is passive investments, including ETFs, and/or a research role is a plus
- CFA designation a plus
