Consumer and Community Bank Finance, Cards Finance, CFM Analyst

Analyst is a member of the Cards Finance team. Team serves as a strategic analytical resource to help senior executives understand, manage, forecast and plan the financial profitability of the business. The group is responsible for managing the monthly and quarterly forecast, earnings press release process, and annual budget/mid-year forecast reporting. The group also manages and/or leads financial/strategic projects and key analysis to provide insight and decision support to the Cards leadership team, including analysis used in Investor Day, Analyst presentations and Senior Leader Conferences.
Analyst will help support the below listed:
- Help suggest and effect changes with the help of Finance Team in the Cards Finance Model
- Identify overlays recommended work as intended
- Generate and analyze budget variance reports on investments highlighting spending variances
- Develop and enhance business cases to validate assumptions and provide pertinent information to Senior Management to effectively make investment decisions
- Proactively analyze trends, research issues, and respond to inquiries.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all reporting and forecasting.
- Work closely with other CFO teams, CCB Tech team, and the Cards business leadership
- Instruct and collaborate with product/project leads on the proper methodology for producing financial metrics for their technology proposals
- Strong quantitative, critical thinking and analytic skills excellent quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills, confidence with finance and accounting concepts, has the ability to comprehend and clearly communicate complex concepts in a fast- paced, dynamic environment
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Experience in Data Sciences especially working for a retail Bank a plus
- Experience in Python and Tableau is required
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or other related majors, CFA a plus
- Data Science capabilities using Python required, Experience in AI/ML a plus.
- 3+ years in Finance/Accounting, management consulting or other financial/analytic roles
- Strong quantitative, critical thinking and analytic skills excellent quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills, confidence with finance and accounting concepts, has the ability to comprehend and clearly communicate complex concepts in a fast- paced, dynamic environment
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong judgment, professional maturity, personal integrity, strong work ethic, proactive and results-oriented, fact based, has the courage to ask the tough questions and challenge the status quo and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint/PitchPro, Essbase and SQL (preferred)
