- As the Financial control Professional in our corporateteam, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm.
- Corporate Sector Controllers is responsible for financial and operational accounting activities, internal controls, and financial reporting for the Corporate LOBs (ex T/CIO and Private Equity), as well as centrally managed Firmwide accounting activities. The Corporate Sector Controllers global LOB coverage areas include Global Real Estate, Human Resources, Central Technology, Legal, Tax, Compliance, Corporate Responsibility, Communication, Strategy, Regulatory Affairs, Oversight & Control, JPMC Foundation, Corporate Contributions, Sourcing & Procurement, Global Services, Operational Control, Corporate Other and Corporate Staff Functions.
- Global Technology Controller provide controllership support to technology function in to Hardware, Software, Professional services and other direct expense lines. Team is also responsible for capitalization of fixed Assets
Job Responsibilities :
- Prepare and post General Ledger entries to the relevant General Ledger system(s) including but not limited to Compensation & Employee Benefits, Monthly Accruals/Prepaid, Invoice Allocations and other manual journal entries
- Daily Bank reconciliations, Monthly Balance sheet review, Monthly & Quarterly General ledger attestation
- Analyzing the source data and preparing sub ledgers. Perform Daily/Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Reporting, Variance analysis including any Regulatory requirements, Compliance with relevant laws and regulations, Balance sheet and Profit & Loss account reconciliation.
- General Ledger Reconciliation & Certification. Reporting, Inter-entity control and governance. Provide support to the Service Recipient and participate in projects, Interact with key stakeholders - Functional teams, Legal Entity Controllers, Tax, Internal/external audit groups.
- Manual accounting & entry bookings to the General Ledger and operating systems during the month end close process.
- Regulatory Reporting & Audit. Ensure we work closely with the stakeholders and meet the deadlines and stay on top of the financials
- Ensure the ledger is updated correctly and in line with the sub-ledger / source data
- Ensure the accuracy and validity of line of business general ledger accounts, including adherence to the Firmwide General Ledger Reconciliation & Substantiation (GLRS) standards.
- Ensure adherence to profit & loss and Balance Sheet controls owned by Financial Control, including identifying and implementing opportunities for efficiency.
- Analyze, communicate, and resolve material variances between the general ledger and upstream systems, as defined by line of business.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- CA/CFA/MBA Finance/master's or bachelor's degree in accounting.
- 2+ years of related experience with financial reporting, General Ledger and month end close responsibilities.
- Thorough knowledge of Core Accounting procedures and principles is a must
- Strong analytical and financial skills, structured mindset with process/continuous improvement orientation
- Able to build and maintain partnerships within the various product aligned businesses and across other corporate financial, treasury, and accounting groups.
- Able to understand business drivers and requirements and influence middle and front office partners to deliver solutions to business issues and problems.
- Ability to multi-task and succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

- Strong analytical skills - Ability to quickly understand workings of a complex processing system and general ledger systems across the infrastructure and their interrelationships and dependencies. Able to multi-task in a constantly changing environment.
