JOB PURPOSE/ ROLE OBJECTIVE :
- Briefly describe the general purpose of the position or its significance from the organization's point of view and how it contributes to the overall mission/objective of the organization
- Plan and Develop a high performance logistic system with clear road map for achieving dispatch of material as per plan at minimised logistics cost and ensuring uninterrupted supply of raw material by providing cost effective logistics support through Rail/ Road/ Port.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :

- Monitor and manage the outbound logistics operations Provide transport contract, Resolving issues related to DO, Loading etc, Dead weight minimization 100% compliance to Desp Plan V/s Performance
- Plan & Monitor the inbound logistics operations Provide transport contract, Resolving issues related to within plant and Outside parties, Un Loading, Providing Rail support etc Zero Stock out and Production Loss due to Logistics
- Monitor and manage the logistics contract Issuance of RFQ For contracts, Finalization of Contracts, On time deployment of Vehicles, Timely passing of the bills and their payment Qty Lifted within time V/s Planning and delivery % within specified transit time.
- Develop People Assess the competency and identify the Competency gaps( Technical as well as Managerial)
- Prepare a Training Schedule in collaboration with HR
- Develop Standard Operating Practise of the key Processes .
- Conduct On the Job Training as well class room training.
- Assess the annual average competency enhancement ( At least 10% More than the previous year)
- Send the personnel to other industries to bench mark the best practices.
- Implement Job Rotation and multi tasking initiatives Training to all team members
- Plan & Coordinate Coal related activities For supply of procured Coal to plant coordination with transporters, Railways and mine. Uninterrupted coal supply
- Plan and Coordinate Product Handling activities at Ferro Alloys Coordinate and monitoring timely supply of Ferro Alloys to internal and external customer Timely dispatch of Ferro Alloys as per the production plan.
- Establish IMS into the all areas of operations Preparation of SOPs. Implementation of suggestions pointed out in Audits, Proper documentation as per ISO Standards. No. of major Non Conformity in ISO Audit
