Role Overview
This role will directly report to the President of the company. S/he will work as part of the President's office to drive business development activities in the US with a particular focus on the entertainment vertical. Key activities include investigating business opportunities, formulating recommendations, translating those into action plans, and helping execute those plans. This individual will work on high-priority strategic and operational issues, closely collaborating with Business Units (BUs) and functional areas.
The job offers significant exposure to senior leaders across the company and greater responsibility and career progression. The individual will report to the President for independence and empowerment to drive strategically important business development initiatives across the company and globally. The individual will be able to rotate into similar high-priority assignments in the company.
Critical Requirements
We are looking for a mature strategic leader with solid business acumen. The candidate should have:
1. Deep understanding of digital media and digital content domains
2. External orientation and connections with relevant industry contacts to build business.
3. Experience in managing US business, US-based team and operations.
4. Exceptional interpersonal skills, self-awareness, and empathy. Should be adept at working in a multi-functional environment through personal influence.
5. Start-up mindset with a high degree of comfort with ambiguity. The role will evolve and change as per the business need.
6. Open to traveling domestically and internationally.
7. Significant maturity and discretion in dealing with sensitive information.
8. Education: Top-tier bachelor's and master's degree (IIT+IIM or Ivy League)
9. Experience: 7+ years
