Position Title - DGM R&D - Hot Melt Pressure Sensitive Adhesives

Work Location - Navi Mumbai, Turbhe

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and innovative DGM for our R&D team specializing in Hot Melt Pressure Sensitive Adhesives (PSA). The ideal candidate will lead, develop, and launch the JIL range of Hot Melt PSA for use as adhesive for Tapes & Labels, Hygiene, Speciality application industries, ensuring they meet market demands and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the entire R&D process for hot melt PSA products, from concept to commercialization.

- Delivering on time, first time right & in full the key NPDs /critical innovation /technology projects assigned to the sub-vertical.

- Proactive collaboration with other R&D teams for quality and speedy execution of the projects

- Execution of routine experimental work for product development, materials testing, product evaluation.

- Making test reports, keeping of laboratory records in physical and digital form

- Maintains stocks of laboratory chemicals, raw materials, tools, substrates etc.

- Coordinates with relevant service providers for breakdown n issues and calibration of laboratory equipment.

- Participates directly in the technology transfer to Production; analytical test methods to Quality Control/Assurance

- Lead and own the Lab Safety Performance as per the defined guidelines

- Ensure smooth functioning of the Labs at all times - w.rt lab equipment's, infrastructure availability,etc.

- Continuously upgrade lab and pilot plant infrastructure

- Custodian of product portfolio safety & sustainability

- Resolve customer complaints related to product design

- Proactive analysis of customer complaints

- Conduct product trials along with technical services.

- Benchmarking product/ competition exercises on market and application trends Benchmarking and Awareness on the activities driven by top competitors and their portfolios

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

- PhD. /Master's degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

- Dynamic self-starter with excellent communications skills

- Minimum of 7 years of experience in R&D within the Adhesive industry.

- Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills. Proficiency in using R&D software and tools.

- Ambitious, self-motivated, results driven, well-organized and conscientious individual seeking a long-term association with the organization
