JCPSI - Machine Learning Engineer

Position Description

The Machine learning team is responsible for building and enhancing the next generation global eCommerce capabilities for our customer base. Projects will span many markets, geographies, business models and form factors; therefore, we are looking for machine learning engineers who will bring not only an abundance of experiences in technologies, but an abundant curiosity to innovate.

The Opportunity:

- help us invent the next generation of eCommerce in online groceries, meal planning and fashion

- apply your semantic, natural language processing and understanding expertise to help our customers find quickly theirproducts on the web, mobile and voice enabled devices

- use deep learning and image recognition to create apparel outfits that match our customer's style either online or in the store

- work closely with our Data Scientist to help them collect the right data and features to build their models

- help our Data Scientists productionalize their models and make those available at scale to millions of customers

- build and maintain end to end Machine Learning pipelines

- be comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty and the eagerness to change the world in a huge way by being a self-motivated learner and builder

Minimum Qualifications

- a BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field

- programming wizardry in at least one of the following: Java, Scala or Python.

- a solid algorithmic background in at least one of the following: machine-learning, data mining, search relevance, ornlp/nlu

- a strong foundation in system design, software architecture

- NoSQL experience such as CouchBase, Cassandra or CosmosDB

- experience with Big Data technologies such as Pig, Hive and/or Spark

Nice to haves

- good understanding of neural networks/ deep learning Experience in one of the following is a plus: keras, tensorflow, pytorch or Pyspark or other related package

- Experience with web or mobile technologies
