JAVA Technical Architect - IT

Designation: Technical Architect

Location: Mumbai

Objective / Purpose of duty:

The jobholder will ensure that the technical architecture is in place for all business systems; will support the Delivery Managers and Project Leaders to ensure that applications are robust and deliver on organisation and customer expectations.

Main responsibilities:

- The Technical Architect will guide the Customers to make the appropriate Technical and Infrastructure selection for their products, together with the Sr. Management. This decision will be based on the Customer's current needs and future projection.

- He/She shall evaluate emerging technology through Proof-of-Concept and Research.

- He/She shall guide the Delivery Managers and Project Leaders in optimizing the Architectural Design and reviewing the Technical Design.

- He/She shall be accountable for the technical validity and interoperability of solutions.

- He/She shall promote SW reuse

- He/She shall ensure teams are trained on new and emerging Technology and the standards.

Supporting responsibilities:

- Will lead the Interview Panel and design Technical question banks for the candidates to be interviewed.

- He/She shall review the Code on a periodic basis and provide guidance on code optimization in order to enhance the performance.

- He/she shall develop Design and Coding guidelines and review and revise these periodically.

Key performance indicators:

- Technical Architecture for all products is in place.

- Design, Coding guidelines for in place and shared and cascaded within the development teams (outsourced team).

- Introduce a strong Reuse culture

a) Conduct SW reuse sessions every quarter with the Project Teams (including the developers) and SW Reuse repository updated at all times.

b) Upto 15% decrease in Design and Development cost and effort every year due to SW reuse

- Process Compliance: As per defined BSC metrics

Qualification:

- B.E./ B. Tech / MCA/ MBA from a recognised university

Experience:

Design and Development:

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

Experience with Spring MVC, Spring JDBC, Spring Security, HTML5, UI, CSS3, Angular JS-Ext JS, Kendo, Design Patterns, LDAP .

Expertise with JavaScript (JQuery and JS frameworks) and web technologies and experience with REST API

Skills:

- Continually questions existing work standards and processes and delivery in order to find better, faster, less expensive or more effective ways to do things.

- Endeavours to exceed existing standards where quality of work is considered critical.

- Anticipates problems and works towards solutions.

- Good Interpersonal skills
