JD :

- The primary responsibility of the Platform Engineer is technical ownership of the Lending Grid platform.

- To own new technology implementation, research and evaluation of emerging technologies, strategic technology planning and software -validation.

- Provides leadership in the identification of strategic technology opportunities; identification and definition of solutions (processes, systems, business and technical architectures) as well as communication of strategy and related technology plans to senior management.

- Play the role of technical evangelist on platform capabilities, stability and scalability, among leadership in line of business.

Job Description :

- The job of Platform Engineer is new technology implementation, research and evaluation of emerging technologies, strategic technology planning and software validation.

- Platform Engineer will gain indepth knowledge on the platform capabilities, properties and capacity.

- Identify loopholes, recurrent problems, areas of improvements, potential functionalities and create detailed technical proposals.

- Understands the current frameworks in the platform completely and create roadmap for frameworks evolution.

- Leads the overall platform roadmap and implementation of innovative solutions based on Services Oriented Architecture

- Reviews federated teams technical design (when necessary) and makes recommendations based on SOA Platform principles.

- Ability to constantly strive for the Platform improvements

- Develops and/or recommends standards, guidelines, and best practices for services governance and development.

- Partners with Business and technology leadership across functional areas to get "buy in" and builds pipeline for movement of work into Lending Grid Platform.

- Works and communicates effectively with all levels of management.

- Negotiates acceptable solutions to complex problems across multiple business and/or technical areas.

- Defines and specifies re-usable services based on the analysis and understanding of existing and new services.

- Possess strong expertise of object-oriented design and development (OOA/OOD)

- Deep knowledge about best coding & design practices and understand ways to write proficient & performance oriented code

- Experience working with and applying design patterns to solve problems

- Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills; proven ability to work with end users to understand and transform requirements to solutions Minimum

Skills and Qualifications :

- Technical and and business expertise in the Banking/Financial vertical

- Exposure to Development, Development Operations, Service Management and production support lifecycle

- Strong Hands-on experience in SOA implementation and governance.

- Understanding of Web Services internals, Workflows & messaging.

- Strong conceptual understanding of Java (Lead implementation and/or development experience).

- Experience with Asynchronous messaging systems like MQ and JMS, and event driven architecture.

- Experience with deployment and administration of J2EE Application Servers and Containers (e.g., Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere, Spring, etc.).

- Experience with Web Services Management tools and Object Oriented Programming.

- Understanding and / or development experience in WSDL, XML, SOAP.

- Experience in performance engineering and planning performance testing and resolving performance issues.

- Experienced in logical & physical server capacity assessment and sizing.

- Experience or knowledge in private cloud is a added plus.
