Java Architect

Key responsibilities :

- Self-starter. Able to work without assistance, can provide leadership to others.

- Able to manage highly complex work effort, break them down into small units of work for agility.

- Collaborates with technology and business leaders across origination boundaries, vendors, and partners.

- Being Hands-on to be able to understand existing code, build POCs, solve hard problems for the team and own

Non Functional Requirements :

- Establish and maintain development standards and prescriptions

- Collaborates with engineers and other architects for Design for Testability, Quality Frameworks, and DevOps

- Collaborating with other Architects to create and maintain System Architecture, roadmap, requirements and interfaces

- Architecting component-based application infrastructure and APIs that can be used by partner or third-party developers

- Demonstrates expertise and leadership in working with product management, development, and operations staff to architect innovative solutions that meet the functional and nonfunctional requirements in adherence to architectural goals and principles

Skills :

- Progressive experience (12 - 15 years) with Enterprise Java and Web-based Application Architecture and Design

- Expert knowledge of Object Oriented Design, Java, generics & reflection concepts, Web Services (SOAP, REST), HTTP, HTPPS, XML, Spring Framework, Java Script, CSS, HTML5, Ajax, JSON, YUI, ActionScript

- Able to architect solutions that run on public and private cloud services like AWS and Open-stack. Ability to leverage cloud features to build elasticity into components.

- Demonstrable excellence in innovation, problem-solving, analytical skills, data structures, and design patterns

- Ability to research and document options and opportunities to solve business needs and assess the feasibility and risk associated with proposed solutions

- Ability to mentor other team members with excellent communication and evangelism skills across remote and virtual organizations

- Experience in refactoring and re-engineering of large enterprise systems and good understanding of functional aspects

- Experience with unit testing framework and automation, DevOps technologies
