NIGHT SHIFT MANAGER - Key areas of responsibility:

Implement & execute a structured processes and standards to as per accreditation norms Night Shift.

Conduct necessary awareness training for all departments.

Main Job Tasks:

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

To ensure expense lines of the Laboratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy departments are within budgeted expenses.

PROCESS RESPONSIBILITIES:

Set up a study work flow shift wise for all departments in command to improve work processes and improve efficiency.

Liaise with departmental heads to reduce production time for various diagnostic reports as well as improving efficiency of such process as discharge and admission in night shifts.

Ensure that the departmental safety standards/ protocols are strictly adhered to in areas under direct admin viz. lab, pharmacy, physiotherapy, radiology as per NABH guidelines.

Help set up patient safety standards for the hospital in conjunction with the Chief of Nursing Service, Support Services Manager and COO.

Conduct necessary awareness training for all departments.

Coordinate necessary document generation and collation from different departmental heads for accreditation.

Help set up, coordinate and activate various audit committees to test check processes.

Is responsible for all Quality Assurance Initiatives in the facility.

Set up an audit process for patient care services on a continuous basis

Refine current methods and re-establish protocols for recording of sentinel events etc.

PEOPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for all Laboratory, Pharmacy, Radiology and Physiotherapy staff who report to the position.

Advice unit in-charge to conduct on job training & continuous education for staff.

Evaluates/ oversees the work performance of the departments under command.

Sanctions and recommends leave and vacation schedules for the departments under command.

Counsels staff on personal and work problems.

Source and ensure training through third partys/ vendors for all departmental personnel in all relevant areas.

Ensures succession plans in place for departments under command.

To encourage team members to participate in house activities.
