We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager (AM) - Purchase of Agro Commodities to join our dynamic team and help drive procurement strategies that align with our operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Procurement of Agro Commodities: Source and purchase key agro commodities such as Wheat, grains, pulses, Maize, and other agricultural products in line with company needs and market demand.

- Vendor and Supplier Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely and quality deliveries.

- Negotiate terms and conditions to secure favorable pricing and payment terms.

- Cost-Effective Procurement Strategies: Develop and execute procurement strategies that are cost-effective while maintaining the highest standards of quality and supply chain efficiency.

- Market Trend Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, pricing fluctuations, and seasonal factors in agro commodities.

- Utilize this information to make strategic, informed purchasing decisions.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including operations, logistics, and finance, to ensure seamless integration of procurement processes and alignment with overall business objectives.

- Quality Assurance: Ensure the products purchased meet the company's quality standards and specifications.

- Coordinate quality checks and resolve any supply chain issues as they arise.

What We Are Looking For:

- Experience: At least 5+ years of relevant experience in purchasing agro commodities or in a related field, with a proven track record in procurement and supply chain management.

- Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills with a sharp eye for detail and the ability to make strategic decisions based on data.

- Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the agricultural supply chain, market dynamics, and the ability to forecast trends to make proactive procurement decisions.

- Vendor Relationship Management: Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and ensure high levels of performance and quality.

- Problem-Solving: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks, resolve issues quickly, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education Requirements:

- A degree in Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
