J2EE Technical Architect - CX Solutions

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement solutions based on the SDL product set, with particular focus on the broader CX solution.

- Design and architect J2EE based solutions.

- Play a leading role in the review of customer's requirements, developing and documenting subsequent technical solutions.

- Involve in Sizing and defining the infra needs for the applications including performance tuning. Work with different teams in resolving infrastructure issues as required.

- Act as technical lead, coordinating all activities related to the technical part of an implementation and providing overall technical authority for delivery of best practice solutions.

- Lead collaborative, productive meetings and workshops with all stakeholders.

- Provide mentorship and support for less experienced members of the technical team.

- Train technical and non-technical audiences in the use of SDL products

- Produce key technical documentation as required.

- Provide input into scoping and estimation of technical aspects of the projects.

Skills & Experience:

The ideal candidate for this role will have at least 11years of technical experience, with at least 4years as a J2EE Technical Architect, typically in a client facing professional services environment, delivering client projects for a consultancy team.

Essential :

- Hands-on Experience with front end and back end architecture and design in J2EE/Java

- Knowledge of databases, MVC, RESTful Services, XML, XSLT, RESTful services, JavaScript

- Hands-on experience configuring applications on Weblogic and/or Webshere application servers

- Experience in one or more enterprise strength Web Content Management products such as SDL Tridion, ACM, SiteCore, Vignette, Fatwire, Day

- Working knowledge of Linux OS, Oracle DB.

- Knowledge of Network Infrastructure like Load balancers, firewall, DMZ and security web infrastructure

- Excellent communicator and highly professional appearance and the natural ability to command presence.

- A self-starter able to work independently and be resourceful in terms of finishing tasks and responsibilities.

Desirable:

- Understanding of the concepts of customer experience management

- Implementation experience of SDL Tridion, SDL Media Manager, SDL Fredhopper, SDL

- Exposure to UML modelling.

- Technically relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification.
