About us

Iyurved is an exciting direct to customer start-up that is addressing common health concerns in kids by making their food nutritious. Iyurved is doing this through fortified food supplements for kids that are not only nutritious and tasty, but also affordable, served in convenient formats and backed by science.

Iyurved is founded by Vandita Tewari Kapoor and Ketan Kapoor, a husband and wife entrepreneurial team (Vandita founded a foods company Sacheez in 2008-09 and Ketan co-founded Mettl and ran it for 10 years before selling it to Mercer, a US MNC) who saw that there is nothing equivalent available in the market and there is a strong case to build a large Indian brand in this area.

The global nutraceutical market is stated to be north of $700B in the next 5 years growing at a CAGR of 10% on account of increasing health consciousness, focus on fitness and movement towards preventive health and eating natural. Additionally movement towards nuclear families, rising incomes, busy and stressful lifestyles and increasing health incidents due to NCDs make this a unique business opportunity for Iyurved. In addition, the disruption happening around new age direct to customer brands because of social media and influencer marketing and global plug and play logistics will create outsized winners in this area.

Initially focussed on SE Asia and India where the market is still nascent, Iyurved aims to achieve revenues of $150M in 5 years from now and creating tremendous value for all its stakeholders, especially early employees. In addition to the economic impact, there is potentially a large positive social impact around the challenge of kids nutrition which Iyurved also wants to address in a potent way .

Job description

Member, Founder's Team is a key role in the company and the selected candidate will be working closely with one of the founders for the first year. The responsibility and work areas will be very wide and can encompass sales, marketing, distribution, product development, go-to-market, business setup and scaling, and manufacturing, among other things. It will give a full view of scaling a start-up from scratch and over time, we expect the candidate to move into a line function based on personal interest and business requirements. In a nutshell, the selected candidate will work on everything that a founder works on with the same degree of urgency and quality.
