Ivy Comptech - Analyst - Business Intelligence

As a BI Analyst, you will contribute to various phases and activities of the software development process or software testing. Candidate must be willing to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, team environment, the engineer works with tech Lead, software engineers, internal partners, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work with a variety of data sources - extracting knowledge and actionable information from massive datasets towards solving business problems.

- Own the design of advanced dashboards and KPI reports in our BI tool starting from requirements gathering across regions and teams to the delivery of final reports in production.

- Work closely with the Reporting, Insights and Data Engineering teams to deliver actionable insights to the organization.

- Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.

- Ability to build tabular and/or visualization reports as needed.

- Build and flesh out data models in our Data Warehouse for use in regular and/or automated reporting and analysis.

- Evaluate operations for inefficiencies and identify areas where you can create, automate, and develop tools (SQL-based or otherwise).

- Continuously strive for a deeper understanding of our business drivers.

- Grow to serve as the team's subject matter expert for data analytics and report design, offering insights and suggestions on what potential problems the team should be solving.

- Able to support the junior BI analysts and business users to understand the reports and how to perceive the insights drawn from the data

Skills Required:

Power BI, SQL, Designing Reports, Dashboards, and Visualizations, Business KPIs

Qualifications:

- Experience in an analytical role with a heavy focus on querying data, analysing, and clearly presenting analyses to stakeholders across the organization.

- Ability to translate between technical metrics and business KPIs and act as a bridge between technical and non-technical internal stakeholders.

- A love for insights, innate curiosity, and a deep desire to find ways to create value.

- Familiarity with Cloud platforms like Azure, GCP and data warehouse environments.

- Experience in SQL, designing reports, dashboards, and visualizations with a BI products like Power BI or Tableau (experience working with Python will be a plus).

- Previous experience on a data team in an agile environment preferred.

- A flexible, collaborative teammate with the ability to deliver both high level explanations of complex problems while also able to deep dive into complex problems.

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
