ITS Business Partner - Bangalore for FMCG MNC

SUMMARY OF ROLE :

The India team is a dynamic, innovative team of multi-dimensional professionals who deeply understand how to generate business value through results-driven IT service delivery for Company's business stakeholders. India IT Business Partner is a key leadership role for the country. The primary mission of the position is to drive India business objectives with information technology, digital, data, analytics, strategy, solutions and services, provoke strategic directions through internal/external perspective and proactively seek out and manage value opportunities for IT solutions and services.

This role will also function as the senior leader in charge of leading the Global Digital and Technology Center (GDTC) based in Bangalore, providing leadership and building culture and engagement within the center.

Scope/Categories :

Key Interfaces : India stakeholders and customers, global and functional Business Partners, Capability Directors, Delivery Engine Leadership, external delivery partners and software vendors.

Key Accountabilities :

Information and Digital Technologies Strategic Leadership : The India IT Business Partner is responsible for establishing a trusted relationship with key stakeholders and leaders in the segment, being a connected, influential player in the country and within Company's Regional IT.

- They will understand and contribute to business strategic directions and goals, define an IT strategic plan aligned/embedded with business strategy.

- They will ensure governance and alignment of business demand with supply, leveraging Company's IT portfolio of services.

- They will communicate plan effectively and gain support from key stakeholders, including country leaders and Regional leaders.

Service Delivery : The India IT Business Partner develops a depth of understanding in country operational capabilities, IT service delivery, committed/delivered service levels in being accountable to assuring stable operations.

- They will be an active leader in the Regional IT leadership in providing the right security/privacy posture and ensure operational discipline in securing Company's consumers, customers and employees.

Business Change Initiatives : The India IT Business Partner will develop and agree an on-going project portfolio to achieve the India IT strategy, taking account of segment goals, corporate priorities, technology/data opportunities, and cost pressures.

- They will lead, jointly with peers in business functions, the delivery of business change initiative, ensuring the timely and on budget delivery of IT components.

- They will provide prioritization guidelines and lead a focused agenda.

- With adept understanding of business value, they will drive clear prioritization of value driving initiatives of business impact.

People Management and Operating Model : The India IT Business Partner develops an understanding of the Company's IT operating model with internal employees and external third-party resources and processes.

- They should suggest operating model improvements, and process improvements.

- They will play an active leadership role in enabling Company's Regional IT be a high performing, agile, focused team.

- They will engage and motivate employees/resources with effective communication.

- They are expected to bring in thought leadership with development of methodologies and tools to enhance performance.

Finance and Value Management : The India IT Business Partner will define a portfolio of investment initiatives inclusive of value proposition, and prioritize investment portfolio for the country

- Partner in prioritizing across Company's IT

- Enforce a value centric conversation

- Build metrics that focus on outcomes rather than a list and number of projects delivered

- With understanding of IT Business Management and allocation approaches, provide transparency of IT costs to country leadership

- Bring relentless leadership in cost reduction and total cost management - generate head room towards fuelling investments to drive Company's growth enablement.

Capabilities and Digital leader : With a strong focus on consumer obsession and deep expertise in data, algorithms, UX, APIs, platforms, RPA & Smart automation, BOTS, eco-systems, AR play a key change partner to the India by

(1) Contributing/enabling digital - physical channel shifts

(2) Bringing superior Consumer and Customer experience

(3) Enabling data driven / algorithm enabled organization

(4) Driving friction-less journeys and automation

(5) Utilizing digital metrics that focus on outcomes of initiatives rather than checking the box on projects delivered

(6) Enabling right focus through a value-centric approach.

- Assure secure, compliant, stable operations in technologies enabling India businesses.

- Serve in a leadership role within Company's Regional IT as an influential player in the IT Regional Leadership Team and the larger Global IRS team; work effectively in a matrix environment with peers responsible for engineering and applications, data & analytics, security, and functional leaders.

Key Qualifications and Experiences :

- A Bachelor or Master's degree is recommended with minimum 10 years of IT experience or relevant functional business and process expertise appropriate to the role. ITS experience might be waived if Business experience is strong and person can demonstrate strong knowledge of IT.

- Experience building and communicating future business plans and capabilities along with being able to provide insights into the technologies required for delivery

- (Standard) Verbal and written fluency in English is mandatory. Ability to work in a virtual team which may work across distance (remote), cultures and time zones, in a matrix with multiple reporting lines, and may extend outside the Company's organization including suppliers, partners and customers.

- Preferred) Prior Consulting experience in IT or strategy

- (Preferred) Project or program management experience in dealing with medium or large projects

- Demonstrated team leadership experience

- Financial acumen to support business case creation and measurement Travel may include approximately 25-50% of work time.
