Responsibilities:
- Category Business Planning : Work with the Manager – Media to provide inputs on above the line (ATL) spend based on overall category launches planned for the year
- Discuss and suggest media strategy for all category initiatives.
- Prepare and track media budget as a part of the overall marketing budget
- Media Planning: Review proposal prepared by agency in terms of media mix, target audience, markets and operating levels
- Provide inputs to the Manager – Media and the Brand Team on critical media vehicles for increased communication
- Media Implementation: Execution the Media plan for each brand/ activity periodically
- Develop and execute sponsorship and media properties (brand shows)
- Media Investments : Participate in ITC annual media buying meeting; Provide inputs for foods business
- Provide benchmarks to the agency media buying
- Finalize media partners and their respective allocations along with the media agency and Manager – Media.
- Media Activation: Conceptualize idea for communication along with the agencies along with the Manager – Media.
- Review the media plan prepared and suggest to the Manager – Media the shortlisted agencies based on the plan
- New Product/ Product Extension Planning, Development and Launch: Provide inputs to the brand team on media market intelligence (rates, competition strategies etc.)
- Consumer Promotions: Negotiate and finalize media property deals along with the brand team and Manager – Media.
- Brand Plan Review : Take corrective actions to improve media effectiveness
- Monitor and review implementation of improvement initiatives
- Market Research Conceptualization and Execution : Review reports created by market research agencies along with Manager – Media and implement corrective actions.
Experience:
- 4 to 6 years’ of experience with at least 3 to 5 years in the Media portfolio (corporate and media agency related experience)
Technical Knowledge
- Knowledge of media related technicalities (TVR, cost per thousand etc.)
- Knowledge of media landscape (competitor intelligence on media buying, opportunities, brand usage etc.)
- Knowledge of brands and brand related concepts (brand architecture, brand awareness etc.)
Educational Qualification:
MBA (Marketing / Advertisement / Communication)
