IT Transition Manager - BFSI

Summary: Responsible for managing large & complex offshore/onshore IT (application development/application support/testing/infrastructure) transitions from internal/external stakeholders. Should ensure smooth and complete handover of projects to the delivery team as per the defined process framework and guidelines.

Job Description

- Will be responsible for leading & managing large & complex IT transitions

- Work closely with multiple teams in different geographies to establish transition plans, headcount requirements, knowledge transition plans and provide governance.

- Will be responsible for initiating the transition, ensuring milestone and SLA validations

- Will be responsible for completing the transition and handing over to delivery teams

- Will be responsible for implementing tools/techniques/best practices in transition to ensure continuous improvement

- Will have short term travel to US, Ireland and domestic vendor partner locations

Skills

- 10 to 12 years of experience in handling IT programs and projects which includes a good understanding and exposure in handling work transitions across shores, in sourcing from vendor partners

- Experience in transition planning, monitoring and management

- Deep understanding of best practices in global transitions

- Should have experience in managing IT projects in the application development, maintenance, production support, testing, infrastructure services areas.

- Should have good analytical, problem solving, leadership and communication skills

- Should have good knowledge of IT processes like ISO, CMMI, ITSM, ITIL

- Should have proven experience in technical project management. PMP certification will be an added advantage

- Should have proven experience in managing large teams, interfacing with multi-shore stakeholders, managing conflicts
