About The Role - Program Manager

You will work with Product Management, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Tech Operations and other stakeholders to project manage various key initiatives through to their successful delivery. You will:

- Drive each project to its successful conclusion by ensuring that the scope is well defined, and estimates and scheduling of work and resources are completed and appropriate to the project.

- Drive to keep resources on task and on schedule, manage change; ensure issues get highlighted, addressed and resolved with timeliness and effectively.

- Work with the project team to identify and manage dependencies across various teams and ensure they are understood, planned for and executed against appropriately.

- Manage the expectations of the stakeholders during the planning, implementation and rollout.

- Provide weekly updates to all Stakeholders, Management and Partners of progress as appropriate.

- Escalate and enlist their support when needed and set and manage accurate expectations.

- Be responsible for managing the overall risk of the project.

You will be expected to work with whoever is deemed necessary to ensure project success. You will also be an advocate and champion of repeatable process (e.g. software development, project management), and influence us toward continual improvement in how we run projects, develop software and scale our platforms and products.

Requirements

- 8 years of software industry experience including 3-5 years in Project and/or Program Management.

- Strong understanding of both SDLC and Agile development (such as Scrum, XP) methodologies.

- Experience in a commercial software product company using open-source technologies, Client Server development, Java and Internet technologies, XML, and J2EE and/or other application server technologies, and/or related systems.

- 2+ years experience with managing product development projects

- Experience in designing and/or implementing multi-tier web applications that are scalable, extensible, and maintainable.

- Proven track record of bringing in large software projects on time, in budget and with quality.

- Experience in managing projects in an Internet environment and Advertising space a plus.

- Experience in Requirements Management, Customer handling (setting expectations, relationship management, negotiating on issues), Planning, Estimation and Risk Management, Impact Analysis

- Ability to manage ambiguity & lack of clarity (in requirements, scope etc.)

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with multi-site cross-functional teams. Must work closely with engineering, product management, and customers (both internal and external)

- Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate issues, and drive discussions.

- A team player and relationship builder

- Degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
